Its not abuse. They are hitting the horse to make it go faster, meaning they are using the whip correctly.

Horses have thinner skin and 10 times more nerve endings than humans do. If you get whipped by a crop it would hurt but it would hurt the horse 10 times more. So stop being so fucking ignorant and do some research
