At which point they are contradicting their identity as Christian nations. At the very least, there is a confessed and recognised holy standard (God and His revelation) to which the people can appeal in revolt against such corruption--which, historically, is what has happened. In our current godless nations, our leaders confess no such standard, and make themselves the standard. And our people simply sit and grumble, because they don't fear God either. It is far easier to rebuke a man who shares (at least verbally) your love for God and His Law, than it is to rebuke an atheistic anarchist.

This way of thinking (theonomy) is very spiritually dangerous. These men think that the ultimate solution to our problems is instituting Christian laws, but this way of thinking completely disregards sanctification and regeneration in the life of a believer. These men think unbelievers can obey the law in their sinful flesh without God giving them a new heart. This conflicts with the whole lesson of Israel's history: that they cannot obey the law. Only God can. It also downplays the gospel for the same reasons. I'm skeptical of any view that relies on human work to achieve spiritual goals.

Well you obviously haven't read much about the theonomic approach to reform or creating Christian society because if you did you would know that NO ONE in this movement rejects the primacy of regeneration. To the contrary, theonomists almost uniformy offer clear qualifiers that deal with these kinds of objections. Your response is a typical one that conflates human work with legalism as if all human work, including education, establishing just laws, child raising etc., is futile. This idea has deep roots in Gnostism and other older heresies that show God to be dissinterested in the idea of Christain civilization. While it may indeed be danerious to overemhpesis reform over spiritual regeneration , it is equally dangerious to preach a otherworldly Gospel that undercuts the Sovereognty of Christ. Christs Lordship is over all of creation and over all national affairs otherwise you are preaching a Christ who is subordinate to man not the other way around.

I don't think anybody's saying that individual jews cant be saved. I've been studying this topic a lot, and it seems like there's a lot more nuance on the discussion than people are willing to admit. There's a lot of name calling going on, but again, I don't think anybody's saying that individual Jews can't be saved. If they are ,then of course, I'm against that, I would contend though that we ought not treat the group called "Jews" Any different than we would treat any other people that rejects Christ. I also don't really think that the Jews we have today are the same people that we're talking about, in the Old Testament, of course to some degree they've preserved their genetics, but spiritually speaking, they're a completely different religious group. That being said I genuinely think that the way we should look at things is in terms of believers or unbelievers and THAT i think is my particular problem with the "zionist" perspective atleast with what I've seen so far but I've tried to just listen rather than speak too much on the matter I'm still learning and hopefully this comment isn't taken as some stab
