Would love to get an outback especially the wilderness edition. You need to release a turbo spec before I'll buy though.

Get us the Wilderness! I've been waiting months to buy a Subaru but don't want to buy a slug! Get us the Turbo!!

Ok, but we still want a replacement for the 3.6 I don't tow, but I like the feeling of the power and have it there when I want it. Why is Japan taking so long to put the 2.4 Turbo?

Its already an option in the US. I don't know why they aren't selling them here.

Why do the yanks get a turbo option and we in Australia don't???.....I mean the outback was named after us!

why can the Australian outback tow almost 500kg more.

@@cloudatlasminer478 All the engines come from Japan, and we can now get the 2.4 turbo with 2400kg towing

2.4 turbo... Wilderness... This model is great in all aspects but we deserve to be listened to and spoiled. Actually, we are paying money to be spoiled so make them available in OZ.

Great news. I'm writing from Chile and I'm towing a Hobby De Luxe Easy 400SF caravan with a Subaru XV. It is an excellent set, I have climbed severe slopes (Cuesta Caracoles that crosses the Andes Mountains to go to Mendoza Argentina), roads in the north and south of Chile. Soon I will leave for the Carretera Austral and I plan to reach the Yendegaia National Park in Tierra del Fuego. Could you make a similar video with the Subaru XV or Crosstreck as they call it there?

The manual says don't go over 50 mph or 90 km. This should be clearer.

50mph is 80kmh

The owners manual says " Do not use with any type of weight distributing hitch". Is this correct ??. I've always used anti sway / weight distribution bars when towing my caravan. Can I continue to use the bars ??. What is the safest option here. ??.

Don’t have a need for a major part…!? You may be waiting for 6 months. Waiting for the gear shifter assembly since June & told that it won’t be delivered till mid-late November! So consider the availability of parts, especially possible major parts before considering a car, especially a Subaru!

Must be Australia gets a different outback than the USA. The 2022 in the USA can only tow 3500 and has now new frame or anything
@nathanriggins52713 жыл бұрын
From watching the video it is likely due to towing laws. That trailer has brakes at 2kKg. In the US trailers 3500k and under are not required to have brakes.

Unless Australia gets the same car/engine as the US these cars will never be able to sell to its true potential 😒 also put some heavy duty springs in the rear the sag is horrible in these cars

While this non-turbo version may be more "powerful" than the old 3.6 in terms of towing capacity, as you can see a lot of us will hold off purchasing until we get a turbo 2.4 down under-if that 2.5 is already that strong, imagine how much a turbo will be like. Personally, I will wait until we get a full-spec Wilderness edition (with turbo, of course) before I replace my old Outback-I use it for camping and I avoid the rougher terrain precisely because I am aware of the limitations of an Outback. While the Wilderness will still be just a "softroader" than an actual off-roader, it will still be better than the base versions.

138kw and 245nm.... gutless. There is no scenario on this blue earth where towing 2000kg is enjoyable with such a gutless engine.

The tow rating on this same engine in North America is capped at 2400 lbs thats almost half of what this video is saying. 2000kg is dangerous to tow with this kind of vehicle

I own a 2018 2.5 cvt auto outback and honestly I wouldn't tow anything heavy as they're pretty gutless with poor torque
