The new E-Class: A Bridge between Tradition and Digitalisation
Stuttgart. For over 75 years, the E-Class has set the standard for mid-range luxury saloons. In 2023, Mercedes-Benz will open a new chapter for the business saloon: the new E-Class points the way in the transition from the combustion engine to the electric drive. At the same time, its new electronics architecture allows a comprehensive digital user experience. The first saloon models of the 214 series will arrive at the
European sales partners in autumn 2023.
The new E-Class (length/width/height: 4949/1880/1468 millimetres) has the proportions of a classic three-box saloon: the short front overhang and long bonnet are followed by a greenhouse which is set well back. The passenger area is generously dimensioned, partly owing to the two-centimetre longer wheelbase (2961 millimetres) compared to the preceding series. The luggage capacity is up to 540 litres.

The interior of the S680 Maybach beats this E class's interior hands down. The S680 has over 150 more horse power than this E class. The S680 goes from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds while this goes from 0-100 in 5 seconds...which means the S class is faster. There's no arguing it, the S class is way better than this

@@Chucky096 they are the same vehicles. Mercedes provide the same tech for both. They just fool you into thinking they are special. Early 2000s Maybachs were better because they actually had an identity. Now they are literally just overpriced S classes.

Looks awesome. Is there a black interior option? Black seats I mean? In all the previews I've found it's either brown or white seats interior. As it is, we are going to be putting in an order for one of these as soon as it becomes available. The plugin hybrid of course :). That kind of drivetrain fits our driving patterns perfectly. Commute day to day on electric power and when it's time to do a road trip we're set for long distances. Would love the diesel plugin hybrid but it's unlikely that will make its way over to North American. Great preview video btw. Thanks a lot.

A little disappointed that you introduced the car as E400e 2litre 4 cylinder hybrid, and the rear says E300de, which ,earns the figures you mentioned are not true for this vehicle in the video. I would therefore love to hear the performance figures of this diesel hybrid, which I find more interesting and the way vehicle manufacturers should have gone a long time ago to mitigate the diesel emissions issue with hybrid. It also makes sense because diesel would provide a better torque than petrol, and therefore no feeling of power loss

i think the fake exhaust covers are tacky for an EClass, and I don't like the plastic cover on the headrest - SUPER TACKY. I am fine with the other plastic parts. LOVE LOVE LOVE the superscreen and extra room!The dealer is saying the cost increase is $10K - that is CRAZY to increase this much from year over year!

The S class has way more horse power and torque The S class interior is unrivaled The S class is way faster than this at 0-60 in 4.3 secs Virgil Abloh's Maybach S680, Maybach S680, S580 4matic and S580 Maybach shouldn't be compared to this E class. The cockpit has shifted too far downwards, narrowing the front legroom on the side. The driver's display is still not integrated into the console and the steering wheel is too simple and unattractive. The seat design is not very successful this time.

More so after W210 ( i had one, good if you get a good one ) Then W211 came out, Will never make a better one Then W213 came 2016 ( W211 is also stunning ) Then i said intodays depressing EV/SUV world, That is it no more cool E class. THEN merc brings this W214 ( and CLE ) 2 of the most stunning cars. W206 is also neat to. makes me think Why buy W223 when you can get W214. BUT i have no money for them. So i will keep onto my W211 W203 :)
