The base 'ICON' model Toyota CHR has arrived, so I had a quick look
This is the cheapest CHR model there is at £31k
I prefer the seats in the Icon, compared to the Design spec, which you'll also see in the video
I also had a quick look at an Ash Grey GR spec
These were all HEV Hybrids, no plugin PHEV
Still has the baby Lamborghini Urus vibes, even in cheapest spec

Nice design but 31k for base model come on to expensive lots more to look at,at that price👍

True 👍🏻 but everything has gone up in price, there are cheaper alternatives, but are they as reliable 🤔 I have even kept my 25yr old Toyota van which is bullet proof, whereas my mates new vans Ford/Vauxhall etc break down every 5 mins. Although in comparison mine was £9k when new whereas the equivalent today is £40k+ 🥴

I found this Icon back in March and haven't seen one anywhere since. Which is a shame as I think they'd sell many more off the back of an Icon spec demonstrator.

Is the basic one good on fuel?

@@charliemarshall2875the Icon does 60mpg, which is a couple of mpg more than the top spec Premier self charging Hybrid You can't get a plugin in Icon spec, the higher spec plugins do 313-360mpg which is quite incredible fuel efficiency

@@daPalma I’m a community nurse and looking at this for my next car,would you recommend it for how many miles I do. The TOYOTA C-HR HATCHBACK 1.8 Hybrid Design 5dr CV Is the one I’m looking at,I do around 300 miles a week and I need some decent boot space,I have a Kia Picanto at the moment,and average around 200 miles when I fill it from empty. So anything better than that, it last me around 5 days before I have to top it up. Any advice appreciated.

My CHR Mk 1 ICON Tech is better equipped than this new ICON. eg. I have *Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Front & Rear parking sensors with Intelligent Clearance Sonar and Automatic braking. All missing and not available as a Techpak for the Mk2 ICON. Very regretable as I prefer the 17" deep profile tyres which ride more comfortable on our potholed urban roads!
