All these trucks, whether you choose this AT4, or the Denali or Escalade, silverado etc doesn't really matter. I feel like if you can afford one you can almost afford any of them. However, they all have one thing in common, they suffer from the same illness: Active Fuel Management (AFM) which s a technology that improves fuel economy in General Motors (GM) V6 and V8 engines by deactivating half of the cylinders when the engine isn't under full load. This has been problematic for a number of years. There are other issues like the carbon build up and torque converters . Also if you read forums and reviews these trucks are leaving people stranded and GM not responding to make repairs in a timely fashion and anyway who needs to dump almost or over 100 grand on trucks that are unreliable. Don't get me wrong I love these trucks. I have owned 3, 2 Yukon XL Denalis and 1 Escalade. the 2 yukons a 2001 and a 2009 were great rucks. To this day I regret getting rid of the 2009 which I replaced with a 2018 EScalade. In 2 years it went back to the dealer for issues that were never resolved so eventually out of frustration I got rid of it. While the size and comfort and looks tempt me the quality control is a complete turn off. Before you buy I would suggest you jump on different forums and really investigate what you are getting into.

I’m planning to purchase the 2025 Yukon AT4 and I thought they solved the AFM issues since 2022 😢 .. That’s really disappointing me

They say they have, but can you believe what they say? I too am somewhat considering that but to be truthful I am scared. I currently have a Lexus GX 460 ( 2022) A bit smaller than I prefer but the quality is hard to beat. A guy I met a few weeks ago just purchased the 2025 Yukon Denali Ultimate, basically the same truck as the AT4, he volunteered to me in the conversation that he also purchased the extended warranty 😯. I felt like asking him why, but I felt awkward so I didn't but I can only guess maybe to cover himself in case things go south. Maybe if you go forward with the purchase you can negotiate a good deal on the extended warranty in the finance office. I did for my Escalade, but never got to use it because I dumped the truck. They did reimburse me since I never used it, but it took like 3 months.
