supritim roy, actually I live in Delhi, and what you are saying is also a cause of problem. Land problems are also common in Delhi, like Old Delhi Underground part with hard rocks but the solve it with new engineering technology. Now based on property disputes some kind of fast track court is formed to solve Immediately.

Why bengali news reports so much on Kolkata metro even on the basic information. I am also a bengali who lives in Delhi, no such news in Delhi don't even care unless there is network expansion in Delhi metro. There is nothing new in BEML coaches of Kolkata metro. Delhi metro is already using them for 10 years and Delhi metro have Hyundai Rotem coaches with WiFi facilities.

nope these are from bangalore & Beml made.. chinees "CRRC Dalian" made total ten, 8 coach metro rakes are on its way to kolkata they will be used for north- south corridor only. they have no connection wit east west metro.. first metro will come here by the end of June.

This are made by Beml Bangalore and this are standard guage rakes for East West Metro other corridor rakes are being tested and Made in China by Dalian for broad gauges.

Rohn Wer u already gave the answer . Its new thats why it is clean. But in Kolkata metro run from 70s. But speed can be more because of new metros and infrastructure but it is not . We are facing cleaning problem because of many bihari and bangaldeshi. But not in case of bangalore

Then i have to say you even i have experienced once metro of Kolkata..metro condition is worst then local train..for ac and technolgy you cant blame others..that's lame excuse..prbly u havnt seen Delhi metro...70s quite long rather decade..too update..blaming is easy rather acceptance...

Rohn Wer delhi is a capital . Get alot of finance . But Kolkata dont . So let it be. U won be happy . And m happy with Kolkata metro. I just need good speed to reach anywhere faster.
