We have a Alliance 390mp. Its a great mid bunk RV. Having come from a Momentum 397th, I will say we like the Alliance framed windows better. The frameless windows don't let in any air without the celling vent fans running. They also are harder to clean. Alliance's customer service is outstanding. For instance we have had an issue that they responded to on their FB page at 7pm on a Saturday night and they would send the part out following Monday to our house next day UPS. And if an warrantee issue comes up while on the road they have independent mobile techs that can come out for service. Their are some improvements needed but overall were satisfied.

The mid bunk/office is fantastic, love the A/C ducts into the bunk/office is fantastic. One of my FAVORITE things... they move the heating vents from the floor to the kitchen island, side walls, etc. That’s what I’ve loved about Grand Design and a few others... no kids toys, food go down there... plus you won’t step on it at night with your bare foot. Way to Go Alliance! Now, if you can please isolate the W/D. 🤗

Concerning the bumper in the back. Why eliminate the bumper? If I'm backing up and say I hit a tree, car, table, stump, rock, boulder, post, or anything, I will do a heck of a lot more damage to my rear fiberglass walls without the bumper. You can still damage the bumper however that extra 5-7 inches may make the difference in a $100 repair and a $7,000 repair. @Alliance don't skimp on the bumper.

Speaking about towing confidence, if you ever have work done to the wheels/tires, make sure they are torqued to specs. Over tightening can cause the wheel to sheer off at the hub (bolts and all) making for a white knuckle ride or worse. This is coming from experience.

Wet bay definitely needs to be separated... I see mice and snakes climbing the hose to get into the storage.
@ladyizzabella3 жыл бұрын
Grand Design does the split washer/dryer thing, and we had to add a strap and hook so i can tie our clothes back when I need to access the machines. Also, my closet gets really dusty from the dryer no matter how much tape I put on the vent hose. It's better than no hook-ups at all, but I'd definitely prefer a seperate closet for stackables.
@michaellubawski77313 жыл бұрын
One thing that was missed was the resedential size oven. Although on the small size it will make baking far much easier. There are dimmers in each room also. The three a/c's, as explained to me, are more efficient in that you can regulate each vs. trying to cool the entire coach at one time. Close the door to the bedroom and the kitchen/living space will cool much more quickly. And visa versa if sleeping and not needing to cool the rest of the coach. The plumbing space behind the wet bay has manifolds that are labeled and very, very organized.

I recently just bought this unit. And the washer dryer thing I like that they're separate. You can actually walk into the closet if needed with them stackable you would lose that. And I won't have a washer dryer so it works better for me. I really appreciate the bunk not being on a slide. I also very much appreciate the controls not being digitally controlled. There is absolutely no need for that. Why make turning on lights more complicated than flipping a switch. I like technology, but it has its place. I really like the use of magnets instead of squeeze clips on the cabinets. It appears the slides drop down and become level with the main floor, I can really appreciate that as well. I'm hoping RV manufacturers would move towards a framed out slide floor instead of 1.5 inch thick osb. Framed floor systems will reduce or eliminate slide sag for those who leave their slides out for long periods. The other thing I'd rather see is horizontally sliding windows instead of casement style windows. A lot of these vertical windows use plastic catches and they tend to fail causing the window to slam shut or even break.

Love your content as always, much more than I like some of the RV's you review...such as this one! After seeing what's on the outside, I wouldn't even bother walking inside. No rear bumper, no slam latches on the cheesy front storage compartment door, lack of frameless windows for this pricepoint, never heard of that brand of tires, no slide-toppers...and only a cold water spray port...man, for what this thing cost, I got far more with my Flagstaff for probably less than half the cost of this unit. The interior is nice but not nice enough to compensate for the aforementioned shortcomings. My opinion of course, but you don't always get more when you pay more, and this is a great example.

I like the separated washer and dryer. I prefer that heat ducts be not in the floor. The loss of efficiency is probably minimal. Certainly worth not having to clean dust and pet hair out of the vents. I’ve seen the Alliance factory tour video. They listen to what buyers want when designing their fifth wheels. This floor plan is spot on! It’s a bit large for me. It would need a DRW truck which I would be hesitant to have as a daily driver. Alliance is coming out with a mid profile fifth wheel some time this year.

Very good review of an amazing fifth wheel. Great mix of colors. All of the windows look amazing. I like the reinforced boxed frame, and the upgraded shackle hangers, something I wish I had on my unit. It looks like they took your suggestion and moved the sink to one end of the island. But they didn't install a barrier between the water panel and storage bay. As far as the washer and dryer location, I prefer the way the have it over a stackable setup. If you had to service either one, it would be much easier than having to deal with stacked units.

THIS IS IT! Almost..... Yeah, get the slide on the office'/bunk house. Needs it badly for the office we'd use it for. Also can go with one more slide in the living room but on the rear of the coach to slide back oppose to left or right. Don't get me wrong, leave the left and right there too but add a couple feet to the rear. The loft is perfect for the storage we'll put up there. I've seen Aliance with more storage in the bath. This one could use it as well. Queen bed in the master is perfect in my opinion adding more floor space. I assume it is an option? Barn doors in a travel trailer/5th wheel doesn't belong. It's all about the wasted space. The closet is awesome! Great space utilized properly. One last little bitch is the dinette. Just stop putting dinettes in coaches already! I want a vote of who uses dinettes..... How about a nice wide table facing the window, looking out with a couple bar stools???? 'Anyone with an Alliance??? How is it???? Quality???? They really look like they are the top of the line right now. Am I wrong? They are unique and beautiful and looking at these videos, they appear quite the "attention to detail" type of build. Correct me please if necessary.
