On my ride command the round puck under the hood is for the GPS. The other antenna that you don't like is just for the radio. Mine is a 2019 though.

That's why I like this because it looks beefy....it is beefy. There's no like plastic rails really but for that price there better not be no plastic in most places... or I guess because that's the roll bars. It's nice though
