This is a FULL Guide to the new Milepost Zero Update in Fallout 76 for running Caravans in the wasteland.

Just wanna say this to anyone who doesnt have the laser carbine schematics yet.. DO NOT LET SOMEONE CRAFT ONE FOR YOU. If you already have one in your inventory it will glitch the mission out and you wont be able to craft your own Laser Carbines. I already made a bug report and i implore as many people to also report the bug to further push their rush to get it fixed.

At this point, I'm feeling like my suspicion that Bethesda are planning to take the game in a much grindier, monetized direction ever since the scoreboard changed is entirely justified. The caravan update, along with the changes in the scoreboard and legendary system, feels like a way of softening us up to accept having to pay to progress.

I have to say that I do agree with you in part and feel that the devs have lost the battle with the accountants that seem to now be driving Bethesda. I understand the need to generate cash esp if they need to raise revenue for ES6 and FO5 BUT there are so many things they could do in 76 that would raise them revenue but also positively enhance the game for players as well. They do seem to have started to listen to the community in part a little more but still seem to be taking single player game decisions when making a multiplayer game.

The rewards definitely need a rework, i think having the largest caravans also give players 1 treasury note per run or the chance of legendary drops would make them far more appealing

completely agree, we need to get something that can be used throughout the game and a reason to do keep running the caravans after we've earned everything that's available

Currently there seems to be a bug in caravan system. If you see a caravan has started, go start your own caravan, DO NOT TRAVEL TO IT, instead travel to the other caravan. Once you finish their caravan, and if yours is still up, you will get 50 supplies from completing theirs. Anytime I see an active caravan, I start one of my own, join theirs, then complete mine and get 100 supplies. Rinse and repeat, whenever you see a caravan start one of your own. The only issue is if someone else starts your caravan. They might do this because they are also farming extra supplies so it could messy but if you can work with people on this one you can chain them and everyone makes out well.

Yeah... How about no and just do your regular caravan? Because this, as everything Bethesda releases, is bugged as hell, I just tried what you said and I ended up doing a 25 min loop around the area with another guys bugged caravan, I came across mine, it auto started, my caravan was killed and when I finished the damn run I got only 5 supplies, so wasted 1k caps and almost half an hour of my life.

Every...single...time I try to run a caravan of mine the first time that day I get a CTD... every damn time. I'm so tired of their crappy coding. The only way to get that 50 supplies is to do just that, start a caravan and do someone else's. And even that has CTD'd me on occasion. I'm a Fallout 1st member but that may change. I stopped playing years ago and only started playing again a few months ago after hearing that the game was improved and I was enjoying it. Not so much now.

I do this and dont really have problems. Im done with all the upgrades and have enough to buy and rank 3 windy when she releases. Sounds like you haven't figured it out yet and thats ok. Just don't tell others to not do it simply because you can't. ​@MrSoul-tn3ln

Already done with the grind. Got the carbine and mods unlocked, upgraded the goods merchant to 3 and got her outfits, and did a couple brahmin upgrades before deciding they didn’t actually matter. Now just sitting on max supplies waiting for the final vendor so I can get the stuff I actually wanted.

Second and third run tonight were bugged as the brahim literally ran through the entire valley. It's not like I can't make my 1100 caps back, or whatever it cost, but what a waste of time. That was my last run until the cryptid hunter is introduced since I have the rifle and up to t2 of the trader's plans. Thanks for the video and take care.

Thanks for the comment and yes I also have had that happen twice now. It is worth making a bug report to bethesda though as any extra data on this will help them fix it inc any buffs you had on the brahmin etc. I hope that they do add the cryptid hunter as she looks really cool and her items are some of the best!

Gotta say that Im loving the concept of caravans. Would love if they added a mini 3 star boss at the end like they have with Free Range. Along with better supply rewards for people helping, and better event completion rewards. Also, a really solid, helpful, quality vid! +1 sub

thank you very much appreciated :-) I also completely agree with you on the concept of the caravans and would like to see more of them throughout the world. Also the addition of treasury notes and legendary bosses at the end etc would be much better and would keep people running them too

Remember everybody start a caravan but then go do another players before your own as you get their full reward of 50 then your own 50

Do be careful though as I have started a caravan to do this and almost instantly been attacked by a swarm of honey beasts right at the start. Some routes start point is overlapping with the mid point of another route so this can sometimes cause you to seemingly start with an enemy attack! If this happens then you will just fail your caravan, loose the caps and not get the high rewards for helping someone else.

The amount of grind they're trying to add is just going to push new players further and further away. This new loop is utterly ridiculous and all I can say is that I hope their bottom line reflects their bad decisions.

I feel there is a lot more they can add, and the 5th hire has all the best plans so I hope they do add her! I think this caravan loop could be fun if there was a lot more danger and it took a lot longer. They could also add this all around appalacia on the existing routes too.....

The rewards for doing your own caravan aren’t great themselves, it just gives some ammo and xp. They need to add better rewards to them in general

At its current state it’s terrible hope the reward changes next month including bug fixes. Pro tip activate a max tier caravan but don’t go to your caravan instead go to another caravan that someone is doing if you complete it while your caravan is up you will receive full rewards even if you are the participant. can keep doing this so long as your caravan is still up or once your caravan dies. I managed to get hundreds of supplies helping others meanwhile my caravan sits there at start.

Yes, agreed. I mean at least there are various different runs with different enemies etc but it does feel very same same for no real reason. I did add in the video something to this degree but as it felt like an exploit I didn't add it to the vid, but I do appreciate your comment on the matter. The only issue with this is that if someone else starts and runs your caravan! lol However, I am unsure if you would still get the supplies if others completed your caravan even if you were not present? With a group of friends on a private world though this could be totally legit way to earn a load more for everyone especially if you all had 10 hours between so were only paying 200 caps for the large cargo.

I'm not going to do it. Im back on my 3rd 6 month grind and this is not what I'm doing. Toooo long and lack of nothing. Spend caps to get supplies to then buy nothing

I must agree that the time needed to grind this is not met with enough rewards that are necessarily worth the grind for supplies. Even if supplies could be exchanged for legendary modules at a vendor or bullion or something it would give an incentive to run this a lot more.

So many people complaining about the grind... Let's call 5000 supplies the target number. With the reward being 50 per large run, that's 100 runs, or 100 days if your an average player that only has the time and caps to run it once per day. If you run 2 per day, it'll take 50 days. Add in the extra supplies from helping others either getting a full pay out while yours is active or just taking your 10% cut, then factor in that these count towards the new repeatable score challenge for ranks 100+ and you're getting that 10% cut AND extra score. Most people will be done with the grind in a month or less, but will still run them for the score, which in the end, translates into Atoms. And who wants free money? No one. Ever.

It takes about 10 hours to max everyone and to have enough to get the new vender when she releases. People just love to complain. I've also gotten crazy levels doing it.

@@strategosxero5843 I did around 30 in the first couple days, but once I sat back and looked at the big picture, this is best farmed with a group. If you rotate the order once per day, and consistently complete all 4 with a large caravan, you'll average 500 supplies per day.

@Lordoftheapes79 all mine were done leveling up the first day. I've started feeding my magnificent moo moo so I can get supplies again. As I said. It doesn't take long at all if you know what you are doing and that's the thing. Most people don't know what they are doing. Cremator, friendly fire. Simple. And before anybody says oh well I don't have the cremator cause I didn't play that season. Buy it from mortimer for 750 gold b's. I've probably wasted about 600 supplies before realizing I was at cap and started to use it on feed so I can get more and not waste it.

@@strategosxero5843 yeah. I'm often getting 100-200 a day per character with little to no effort. I'm more interested in the CAMP bits, so Ineke is second only to Josie and the cattle. I'll get to the other stuff later and I'm only looking at the carbine on my rifle character, but she hasn't done the Skyline Valley questline yet, so the carbine won't be a priority until that's done.

@Lordoftheapes79 I haven't even made another character except for a mule. Since the update, I haven't even had to use him to hold anything. Unfortunately out of like 500 plus legendaries I've only gotten 4 crafting mods. Bloodied, vampire, 3 star +3 perception ( for some reason I've seen a +2 as a 2 star.) And a useless one forgot what it was since it's useless. I have 1k supplies waiting on windy release to max her out asap.

Super cool video GG, thank you very nice work. I think this new event is outstanding, but there is one problem... BUG where the game crash and you don't get the opportunity to go back and finish your challenge. I spent 1200 caps on the big supply and just lost them. Well I can handle to lose it, but what if players isn't that loaded with caps, then you lose hard earned caps just to see you can't get it back, lose alot of ammo, food and buffs. In the end it could really damage your game. But .. the event is good but loosing caps etc. is so bad 😜 thank you GG stay save out there wastelanders ❤

Thanks for the lovely comment, I would recommend to always report any bugs you encounter to bethesda as this will help them identify and fix issues. Hopefully this bug will be fixed with the update next month as well as the increase in participant rewards and the PA HUD fix!

I reallly think that the caravans should atleast give back the caps you pay if you successfully do a carravan since its a insurance of if you lose but nahhh take 1k caps for some meager rewards

I get your point but I guess that is just like paying insurance anywhere, you don't get it back even if you never make a claim. Caps are pretty easy to get so the value isn't too bad and if you are in no rush the time discounts are high.

Do you need to purchase all 3 teir 1 feeds to rank up to tier 2? Do the tier feeds effects stack?

The feed effects do stack but I don't believe you have to purchase all to rank them up, however, I have not really found any need for them and I only purchased the initial speed increase one

Anybody know the prices on upgrading ineke the imported goods vendor? I've got a glitch that won't give me her inventory. People are saying once she's upgraded they appear.

Check you have done every single dialogue line with Ineke first. You need to go through everything at tier 2 before it will unlock the option to upgrade. You'll know when you can as you'll receive Ineke's snowglobe plan. It costs 500 supplies to Tier 3

Currently you can't. She is the 5th hire in the game files but for some reason has not been added to the game. I would like to think that she will be giving a longer quest that takes you out into the wasteland hunting cryptids. However, there is nothing as to when or of she will be added although her items are heavily featured in the trailer!!

Once you have the gun plan there is literally zero reason to carry on and upgrade the rest. You pay caps and loads of time to unlock what?? Plushies and snow globes? 😂😂

They kinda messed up by making it so easy to get the Laser Carbine - they should have put this quest unlocking at the end and surprised they didn't as that would have increased the grind lol

I just stroll along the Caravan path after players run one and pick up all the dropped loot unbelievable how much is left behind I sell what I can't carry at the market near the route

haha yes I noticed that I was also wading through dropped loot a lot of the time on the runs. It's one of the only times you'll actually see what some of the dropped junk actually looks like! I now have sooooo much GOLD it's amazing hahaha
