As a human, I don't see Scott as a bad guy. I mean mutants are being hunted, imprison & kill. ( Genosha ) The avengers, fantastic four and even spider man don't give a rat's ass about mutants. It seems like everyone want's to blame Scott for everything. So they don't have to admit to the fact, that none of this needed to happen. If the humans wasn't so hell bent on killing mutants.

Mostafa Shahin A Nimrod Sentinel put its hand through his chest as he teleported. It was a good death actually, handled really well in terms of the aftermath etc Just like when Collosus died in the early 2000's. It is a shame both were resurrected to be honest. I think only three X-Men have stayed dead in their entire history at this point.

I hate time travel. If you think about it, just by bringing them to the present would fix everything. Scott would have no longer went down the road he did, hed have just vanished from time until the current time.

I'm sure Marvel wrote it off as, "Oh...well, the young X-Men would've returned to an alternate past not effecting this one! Y'know, like how Bishop went back fixed the future by...ummm...wait....DEUS EX MACHINA BIATCHES!" Lets face it, X-Men (in general - including the cartoons and the movies) have sucked since the early 90's. Ever since the Phoenix story arc, everything has been an overcompensation for Marvel's inability to make the X-Men remotely interesting beyond the shallow "Make it bigger, make it brighter, up the ante even more!" kind of story telling. At this point, 99.9% of Marvel (particularly the X-Men) are essentially fanfics of a fanfic. Wouldn't surprise me if that is where they pull most of their idea from nowadays. I'm still waiting for the LoganXScott shipping arc where they weren't fight over Jean Grey, but just avoiding their own sexual attraction to each other and Jean just happened to the outlet of those emotions.

I started reading this series again, just coz the current Exceptional X-men was "Not for me" as they say. This is one of my favorite X-men storylines and I remember people hating this one back in the day. But vol 26 with Young Jean and Adult Scott was just so awesome. The most annoying thing about all new X-men is the fact that they are called "all-new x-men" when they could have brought back a series like the new mutants. Instead, we get this weird timey-wimey stuff, which wasn't bad in itself, I was just hoping they would resolve the paradox for once and leave(unlikely knowing the X-men's track record with time travelers). Also, there is Jean Grey, who can be a likable character when you are not going out of your way to make her as annoying as possible. The art for this series was awesome though, I think the inkers got some sort of award for it.

Loved this series when it first came out. And then they went ahead and ruined all of x-23's character development in Avengers Academy and Arena. Just to pair her with Cyclops, realise he was getting his own series, and then dump her on angel... who then goes cosmic. Damn I hate sloppy writing.

I think this is one of the best X-men storylines ever, and hope it makes to an Omnibus. I disagree with other people about Jean being annoying, in fact I think this is the best version of Jean ever. Ultimately, the story is her battling against her fate. She was introduced more or less as a token female, staying in the side lines of battles, sees how messed up her future is, and wants to use the potential she didn't know she had to make things different, and becomes the leader of her group. Sure, she makes mistakes, she needs training, she wasn't a natural leader, but she learns very fast how to become one. I wish more kids' stories carried a message like this one.
