You can clearly hear how Jacob is highly getting influenced by Moroccan Gnawa music from his last visit to Essaouira, which is making the song blooming with a unique flavor, you never fail to impress me you genius. :D

This album was just breathtaking from emotional to funky to moroccan with all these ups and downs. I've been blessed with the fascinating roller coaster that is Djesse vol.1. This man and Michael Jackson are my two idols and I'm gonna keep working on my music thanks to them. It's really inspiring especially for me since I'm still 15 and i can still feed my brain with all this genius😂

This absolute GEM not only lifts me out of a sad/angry mood; if I'm already feeling happy, it makes me feel almost TWICE as happy. Jacob Collier is my musical hero; Take 6 has been my musical hero since the last century and bridging to this one. These folks ARE music! They are STILL underrated.

This new whole album, makes my heart dance, and then explode, and then melt, and then cry, and then scream, and then crouch on the ground, and then jump in joy, and then run And I hope in my life, to get to the point to be able to fully appreciate artistic masterpieces like this (these). Being sort of self educated gave me at least to ability to sort of 'experience' it in an emotional sense, as tickling my analytical interest about the whole ensemble of structures and colors of it, but I hope in my life to say "I'm completely amazed by this, and I know why, and I love this even more"- just an earlier Santa Claus' letter, ahah Thank you Jacob, and all the people who work to make this happen.

What I like about this, in comparison to many of Jacob's previous pieces: it's cohesive despite having many themes, the melody works well (credit to Mr Richie), I love that there's much craziness interspersed (harmonies, instruments, and personal touches like the wiggle wiggles and the quotes) here and there, without barring the non-musician listener like myself from enjoying this thoroughly, samba at the beginning is played genuinely, it sounds quite Brazilian, and very importantly, the human voice in this song has a multiplicity of timbres, thanks to other singers joining (Take 6, no less). Background vocals sounds so much more beautiful if sung by many different singers, even if they're all singing unison. Many many thanks Jacob!
