I enjoy falling asleep to old time radio shows. Wake up a couple times and fall asleep again. But best time is getting a midnight snack and head back to bed.

When I was a kid, I would fall asleep listening to the original broadcast of these programs. Thanks for letting me relive my childhood.

My first childhood experiences were listening to my dad’s car radio on the way home at night. “The Whistler” was a pretty common broadcast. In the Vancouver area, the stations my dad commonly listened to in the 1960s through the 1980s were either CKNW 980 kHz AM, or CJOR 600 kHz AM. It was more likely that most of the old time radio broadcasts were on CKNW 980. Later, as a young adult from the 1980s to 2000s, I would frequently listen to old time radio rebroadcasts on CKNW 980 AM, or its affiliate station, CFMI 101.1 MHz FM.

I enjoy your comedy compilations. They are a nice break from detective shows.

Thank you for these outstanding radio programs! I envy the people who were around to listen to these shows when they first aired; it was a great if turbulent, time in America's history. In my opinion, America was at its zenith in those days. I'm going on my 65th year now, and I've been enjoying OTR ever since I was a boy when my father introduced me to Jim and Marion Jordan, AKA Fibber McGee & Molly, at their home in northern Illinois. Thanks again! ❤

You could have heard an original broadcast of CBS Radio Mystery Theatre from 1974 to 1982.

As crappy and disgusting as life is in 2024, I’m completely perplexed as to how anyone could possibly find any entertainment value in Ozzie & Harriet in the 1950s. 🙄
