Great games! I got the pack Christmas of 2021 and I'm still playing FFVII and have played up to only the first save of FFVIII. Definitely a game to revisit in a couple of years!

Were there updates to download, i.e. is the whole game on the cart? I have the physical X and X-2 but only X is on the cart, X-2 needs to be downloaded. I already have 7 and 8 digital but sometimes I like to have the physical copies too.

@@PatternLand tifa and cait sith limits are really hard to hit right at 15 fps due to the slot mechanic.

@@45Lotos From my understanding only the PC version is capped at 15 FPS for menus as well, sounds pretty bad. I haven't played the PC version but the PS1 menus are actually 60 FPS and I find the game snappy and responsive, even compared to some modern games. It's crazy how they had all those different frame rates lol. 15 for battle, 30 for field, 60 for menus

@@slamjamtime202 As far as i know the PS1 is the only version that ran the menus properly, the PC (which can be modded) and Ps4 version both run the menus incorrectly. I bought it on PS4 and played through it entirely but the low fps menus. I didn't know the original menu was 60 though I thought it was 30.. either way it only really matters for the limit breaks.

Wrong. All PS1/2 owners need this game. And that has been the case for well over two decades. No port of a PS1 game is worth anything on some far later more advanced console. Not if you've been playing games for a long time and have done your homework in experiencing the classics. Frankly, it's another lazy cash grab. Porting games from the PS1 era sure does save work for lazy devs.

What about the younger gen who haven’t been able to experience the original? I think it’s still worth owning especially considering the portability of these games and the fact that many of the older gen consoles are dying out.

I have the 7, 8 twin pack, FF9 , FF12, and the Japanese cart of X-X-2. the reason for the Japanese cart is it has BOTH games on the cart where the American one just has ten and the X-2 is a expire download, so no 2.
