After world war 2 most Germans emigrated or were captured and lured to the US, Western Europe and Russia, hence the sudden drop of Nobel laureates from Germany after world war 2. Yet when you check the “American names” you may wonder a little 😂😂

Luxembourg has won two Nobel prize, and those are very important. Physics and physiology are way better than Nobel prize for literature and peace.

Medicine helps us to live longer, but life is very painful without peace and useless without literature.

Einstein could have received more, chemical, physical... Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy, Gorky did not receive the Nobel Prize for Literature... who else?? The Nobel Prize does not say much, and it does not say everything.

Bueno...

Correction: Dr Charles Huggins was a Canadian/American. He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and got his undergraduate degree from Acadia University, Wolfville, NS. The reason I know this is that I am a graduate of Acadia University as well, and took classes in the science facility there that bears his name.

Róbert Bárány comes from a Hungarian-Jewish family. It is not correct to count everyone as Austrian from the time of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. There is a Slovenian and even a Hungarian Nobel laureate among the Austrians (Chemistry Nobel laureate). Anyway, there is also a mathematics prize, in fact, I know some people who didn't get it for political reasons, or the Swedish self-worship, or other reasons....
