Well, the thing is: the runway is always judged as a challenge if im not mistaken. In RPDR it's only an extra to save yourself from the bottom or prove you should win.

In DRT, they seem to judge the mini, the maxi, and the runway differently every episode. Sometimes the scores are combined for the maxi and the runway, sometimes the mini doesn't matter, and sometimes (like on Snatch Game) the maxi doesn't even count. The most we can tell about the judging from DRT is that the runway and the maxi have quantitative scores--the judges for each week even carry a clipboard w/ score card during the runway presentation and award each outfit points. In certain episodes, Art Arya even announces that "this week your maxi-challenge score will be combined with the runway challenge" which means that they sometimes don't even combine the two (i.e. they probably don't award each episode win quantitatively and just choose whoever they thought did the best/whoever stuck out the most). I feel like DRT is a lot more like Project Runway than it is ANTM for these reasons. This would be a perfect subject to bring up with Pangina at DragCon.

Stratos Psouroukis it’s not that there aren’t any CREATIVE queens but it’s definitely been lacking the past few seasons. I think this is very refreshing and reminiscent of the earlier seasons only a little more polished. (compared to RPDR season 2 where girls wore literal mall drag)
