I've found that I have expectations on how a song I know well should sound and when I hear her do something very different my mind keeps changing gears as she goes somewhere else. When my mind stops doing that, I find her performances are truly incredible.] thanks for sharing

John Legend describes Angelina perfectly when he refers to a facet of jazz singing that involves 'Perfect Imperfections', since it is a genre has has true artists in this genre never singing the same song in exactly the same way. Angelina is the true 'Queen Of Imperfections' which translate to being 'The Queen Of Jazz'. The different genres that this girl has command of is beyond extraordinary for I've never heard another singer withe her intricate, complex, diverse ability.

For years, Angelina has been doing these "musical explorations" by singing to a karaoke track in her home, or playing piano or guitar while grandma Mery films. She was able to explore many different artists & genre of music on a minimal budget while going to school & living a "normal" life. I believe she treats these performances much like she does when she plays with guitarists, Egil Clausen & Ivan Mendez, with minimal preparation & 1 or rarely 2 takes, singing start to finish. It's her way of having fun & I've always thought they could be music assignments at a performing arts high school. "Angelina, do your homework!!!"

Very well done Jesse, pretty sure most of us realize that this computerized backing track from Sing King is not very good and actually a bit overbearing but Angelina still manages to sing a beautiful rendition anyway...just the talent she has. Been hoping someone would get creative and with some editing and "fix" the background track, my hope. Still love what she has done here just have to tune out the loud and intrusive karaoke music accompanying this great song. Stay well, Happy Holidays.

Jesse thanks for the sincere and beautiful reaction. I believe that her voice and her sensitivity allow her to create interpretations that are always amazing, no matter how old and iconic the song she chooses, she still reaches and always pampers our soul. Angelina's ability to convey emotion with her voice, even with simple pre-recorded background music (you can't always have a musician at your disposal!), is simply astonishing.💛🧡❤

You and Angelina are brilliant. I've encountered several musicians and self-taught critics who will spend the majority of their reactions critiquing the instruments, backing tracks, or even the mic she's using. Yet, they overlook the most obvious facts. Apart from her studio performances, Angelina is doing at home jam sessions to post on KZbin. Even when she's accompanied by a guitarist like Ivan Mendez, it's basically a home video. Ivan talks about working with Angelina in his interview from 2021. He essentialy hangs out with Angelina and her family for the day, and that evening, they do a one-take jam session without rehearsals. He oftentimes gets lost in amazement hearing Angelina's singing, and you can see this when you watch him on their performances. I have very little to complain about with anything Angelina does with her at home covers. Since she signed with Republic Records in 2020, we see more of the polished studio performances. I also enjoy listening to her snippets on TikTok, where she's singing a few jazzy lines in a parking garage with good acoustics. When I watch these, I wonder to myself about those overly opinionated musicians. Lacking anything substantive to complain about, do they critique the number of cars or the shape of the parking complex?

Great reaction, Jesse. Her cover channel was in place a long time before the pandemic hit, I believe it was created in July 2017, but the pandemic most definitely put a damper on most things social for sure. As you've probably heard in the comments by now, she has covered more than 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres. I'm tempted to say 9 genres, as I think her cover of "Mount Everest" may be put in that 9th genre 🙂 I look at these covers and her channel as little more than her playground tbh, and we're just lucky that she decided to share some of her experiments with us. Through all of this she has definitely developed her skills further, having to adapt and adapt again, yet putting her own stamp on it. And as amazing as her voice is, I think that her musical understanding and integrity is EXTREMELY rare and incredibly well-developed for her age at any given time. And through all of this her magnetizing persona shines brightly. Seeing and listening to Angelina is the complete package, at least for me. Now that you've been reacting to her for a while and has gotten to know her better, I would like to inform you about another channel, where you can see a LOT of stuff from her that's not put on her cover- or official channel. The channel is called "Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz" and I believe it's her grandmother Mery who's behind it. People in her will correct me if I am wrong 😅 I also trust that others will point you in the right direction for your next reaction. But maybe give her cover of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" a go at some point ? She was 10 years old, and it's actually among my favorite performances by her, just due to the fact how similar she sounds to Gloria. It's kinda eerie coming from a 10 year old girl I think. Very nice feedback to Jesse’s reaction. I am very grateful that Angelina, her family (Including her grandmother on the Mozart Fan Club) share so much of her behind the scenes footage. We get to see her experiment with so many different ways to sing and types of songs to sing. In addition we get to see her having fun, feel her love for her Art and understand that she does it for us and not for the fame. I’m happy that Jesse agreed to look into your great suggestions. This is an Original❗️Experts agree, that “I’m Still Holding Out For You” is an Angelina Original! An original, is any song which was not recorded by any artist before, it may be composed by the person singing it, or by someone else. Baby FuzZ and 3 others wrote this song at a Music Camp. Thus, he did the “Cover” that Angelina had already recorded in 2016, at 10, and published prior…Uploaded Nov. 11, 2018, Demo or not! Sorry, his offical video, published 12/9/18, (two years later) was met with very little fanfare. He has since, given her Copyright and his blessing to make a proper recording of the song.
