SEC SEC SEC SEC. It is very difficult to check my urge to dance on the grave of Bama. The level of smugness that the entire conference exudes, when only two or three teams have earned the right to claim elite status, makes it easy to loathe the entirety of the SEC. When a Big12 team steps in on year one, and claims a spot as one of their elite programs, it shatters the narrative.

Love this Fitz! Everybody "knows" 3/4 of SEC teams are superior to all other conferences. And maybe, one or two BIG 10 teams from time to time might fit in there. But certainly no Big XII or ACC team or any others is good enough to sniff any part of the expanded playoffs. But the SEC at 6-5 is barely over .500 to date, with 3 or more games left in the playoffs. They are currently close to the BIG XII. The ACC is atrocious (2-9). The BIG 10 (7-4) is better with 2 games or more left. But they are behind the American Conference (6-1) but still much better than the "mighty" SEC. So, despite 14 of the SEC 16 teams making it to bowl games (What?) they sure don't look like the "premier" conference they pretend to be. Perhaps, if they were required to play 9 conference games instead of 8, and half of them the top teams in the conference, the SEC would be seen as the average conference they are, not the cream of the crop they pretend to be. Just sayin'. 😂

The best game of the day was Washington v Louisville. Congrats to the Washington coach for going for the win unlike the Pitt coach who on the one yard line decided to go for the tie then lost in OT. I'm sure Coach Kleiman would go for the win every time. Happy New Year little brother

My prediction for the new narrative is: Bowl games don't really matter anymore if they are not part of the playoff chain. With so many players sitting due to NFL dreams and portal intentions, " that was not our real team out there anyway" will be the new mantra. The excuses will continue.
