The oil pressure problem may be the sending unit on the block. I had that same problem on my 68 Cougar many years ago.

pinhole leak in a line would keep the gauge from reading steady pressure at low rpm. Hope you guys get it figured out ASAP. the red white and blue looked sweet. your grandpa's truck was OMG WOW!

truck looksawesome Craig so do your friends! I have a 108k mile 94 f150 4x4 reg cab SB XLT 5.0 and 5 speed. I found if I shift at 2k rpm’s and just driving it like a tractor I get 19mpg+! When I drive it faster i only got 13mpg with it! I’m suprised how great Ford truck are especially after wting zip ties and junkyard digs ford trucks are immortal!

Sorry I'm 5 days late, been SO busy! I Had to jump in here and tell you a quick story... My Grandpa (also my best friend) got me hooked on cars from day one, his specialty was 33-39 Ford flathead V8 pickups and some cars... The truck he was building when he passed was a red 39 pickup (identical to your families) and not only was he building it for me to drive up the hill at the Newport IN. Antique Auto Hill Climb, he actually shortened the steering column and sunk the seat further back to make it easier for me to drive and his plan was for him to compete in his 35 pickup (very first video on my channel) and me compete in the 39... He passed before we got the chance and the truck was regretfully sold BUT thankfully it was to a family friend who's gonna let me ride shotgun up the hill this year (October 3rd)!

That Catch can setup, deletes the PCV system Im guessing. I like the Idea, but PCV can remove alot of crud from the crank case even tho it is a engineered Vacuum leak. BTW the PCV is the only thing that worked, from Gov. Controls. LOL Positive Crankcase Ventilation.

If your engine ever looses oil pressure pull over and shut it off asap! Get it home and remove the distributor and get a drill and spin the oil pump with the engine off. if it builds pressure in the lines then its most likley the sending unit or gauge!

Love your truck. Being a stick makes it. Exhaust sounds tacky though. That boomy crackly unrefined 80/90s dual 3inch sound. Sounds like its running rough. Friend of mine has a 79 camaro. Same problem. Flipflop slaper. He thinks its a race car. But its a 305 with a dual 3 inch. No dice

Shockingly, 91 octane in Cali is the same as in Canada, at least my part of Canada. $1.45CAD/litre is a penny off $4.05USD/gallon with the conversion. Don't feel as bad filling up on premium knowing all the LA car guys are in the same boat

6:24 heyit works! I use WD40 to clean a lot of stuff even in the bathroom it gets the tub and sink spotless. I’ve used it to make shitty paintjobs on cars and trucks shine too! so if you have a patina fetish then WD40 and boiled linseed oil will be your best friend! Just be careful disposing of the oily rags as they can combust!

The amber lights might look good to you but if your saying you can't see crap out of them at night then what's the point? in all honesty i think the classics look better with upgraded LED sealed beam lights, definitely safer but bottom line your choice Craig.
