@ashnorwood89764 жыл бұрын
@@narutoisstrongerthansasuke3326 they are an alright beginner snake, but mine is the only snake I have so I dont know how much easier something like a corn snake is. They can be difficult at times because they are picky eaters, but they dont move very fast and are less likely to bite. There are a lot of videos like this one that give advice, and as long as you have done your research well and youre ready for the work and commitment that goes in to having a ball python, then you should be fine. I think it's a good idea to do a little research on a few different kinds of snakes and find out exactly what you want. Mine is just a normal morph 😁

Tbh when it comes between getting a ball python or corn snake as your first snake, 100000000% get the corn snake. When I was doing research for my first snake, every source I read said corn snakes were better and that ball pythons weren’t always the best for beginners. I was in denial because Ball pythons are cute and I thought corn snakes were not (I was wrong.) now I have both and I can say: Ball pythons can actually be very difficult if they fast. Never rely on naturally having a bp that never fasts. Also, they’re picky on humidity and humidity can be difficult sometimes. As someone who has both I can say that corn snakes truly are the best beginner snake because beginner mistakes will do them the least harm !!
@MJ-hq1ie5 жыл бұрын

So.......... Do they prefer humid or dry?
@plantsperiod44625 жыл бұрын
My snakes have fasted and I just monitored they’re weights and they pulled through just fine. People just need to stop worrying so much about their animals. Also humidity isn’t actually that big of an issue. Having it off for too long can cause issues but if you’re worried about shedding just soak them
@fredbeer69505 жыл бұрын
I disagree people should get the animal they are most interested in this case because it means the will actually care about the animal more. Rather than they get a corn snake and not really like them but just buy them because they are the easiest. Both are beginner animals with basic husbandry.
@Dog-jc4zm5 жыл бұрын
@@fredbeer6950 I agree but to some extent. Don't get a Cobta because it's "cool". But let's say you're deciding between a bp and a cornsake and you totally don't want one. Don't go aroumd dragging the cornsnake around for 20 years because some girl or guy on youtube told you so.

I don’t know why I even noticed this but when Taylor is holding up her snake (the red one) at 6:34 you can see cut marks on her wrist and their is a fresh one with blood. I think my first thought was whoa. . Did the snake bite her but then when I paused it and looked closer I can see the older scars and that just breaks my heart for her the kind of pain she must be going through. I’m so sorry I just want her to know she is beautiful and loved and has sooooo much to offer. I’m sorry for pointing this out if it bothers you Taylor but I thought if I point it out maybe other people will join in telling you how special and important that you are to them and that your not alone in your pain and struggles. Much love 💗 edit: if anyone that is struggling mentally needs help you can reach out to me I will listen.

Kritterswithkelsey I was shook the first time my ball Python shed because the first time I had the humidity off because she didn't show any signs, so she caught me by surprise and she shed in about 2 pieces but that was also due to the first bit of Aspen bedding we had gotten for her had mites in it, that was a painful experience for me. I started noticing when she started soaking in her water bowl and little black specks fell into it. So I started checking her scales and sure enough. I felt so bad for the poor thing (two months later she is absolutely healthy and beautiful, shedding perfectly.)

Just pick one that you personally like and think that you can keep, do plenty of research then adopt it. Never impulse buy. A few things to research are humidity, temperature, substrate (humidity retaining or tunnel retaining?), feeding and heating method.

Your naming choices definitely inspired me, I got my own corn snake a few months back and her name is Shoestring haha

I need a video all about your wigs and where you get them, how you style them and make them look so natural. You’re a sassy hair chameleon and I need some of that in my life ❤️

I love that I live in Australia, where we can only keep a very small amount of snakes that are found in Australia, usually in the particular state you are in, super wide range of snakes to keep...not :') But I understand why we have these policies in place. I do hope to get a Albino Darwin Python some day though :)

Wait, what about hognoses? I thought they would be quite a good starter snake. They seem quite docile AND ADORBS. but anyway, I'm not an expert.
@liv_11reptiles6 жыл бұрын
Queen Thicky Nikki she probably didn’t mention a hognose since they are considered rear fanged venomous and do require a little more caution as some people can have allergic reactions to their bites.

Hognoses can be picky eaters cause they are naturally toad eaters.
@gideongross44565 жыл бұрын
I'm not an expert at all but I've been doing a lot of research and most of the info I have gotten says hognoses aren't considered an easy first snake because they can be huffy so they may be a bit intimidating, and most times you have to scent their food with a toad to get them to actually eat, but if you are personally okay with a huffy snake then when you go to buy the hognose just make sure to ask if they are being fed unscented. Again, I'm not a professional it's just what i have read and watched for my own personal research

You should name the younger milksnake Flip Flop because she moves around and her and Gucci together make Gucci flip flops.😂😂😂 ps I want credit for this name.
