Hard disagree. Dbc 14 and Ashes 17 was better than EA games. Better simulation, better ball physics, great 360 controls and big ant has the best bowling mechanisms. They just lack polish and extra features. The games started to dip only in the last two editions.. in fact codemasters were the ones that published genuinely great games like Brian Lara series and Ashe 2009 along with IC 2010. But they are done.

The batting animations were a bit clunky. It wasnt that smooth. You could even see batsmen holding bats the other way for a few seconds, gloves not even touching handle. The bat flow was great though. EA had good ball physics and body physiques too. But again the fielding mechanism was way too bad Batting smoothness wise Ashes 2009 was far ahead and Ashes 17 the most realistic for test matches. You can check out the videos

@@cutecat2448 I still play that from time to time and it's the same as the 2002 game almost exactly. The stances and bowling run ups are much better. However even on the hardest difficulty level I can score 36 an over quite easily as the AI is really poor. I can also take 4 or 5 wickets an over with the same two deliveries. On hardest difficulty.

I liked 14. The bowling actions were, IMO MUCH better in that Then they made all the character models look like little noodle arm stick people with a choice of about 3 faces. All with MAHOOSIVE 5-heads The post match meetings are still complete nonsense. You win 3 games in a row and the reporter asks why you keep losing. Talking about a team you didn't just play for in a competition that hasn't started yet.

Action 2 is supposed to be Nathan Lyon. The action was first added to Ashes Cricket 2017 (this is the first game that used multiple different actions) and AFAIK that one was Lyon's. That being said Action 2 looks a lot like Nabi

They all have a very closed front foot on landing. The closed front foot means you have to bowl around your leg. Very hard to get your bowling shoulder forward (and therefore your wrist in the right position) when you start like that. Foot straight down the pitch or even slightly open is much better. Very slightly closed is used by a some younger spinners who have a very good natural pivot, but whoever pretended to be these bowlers in video capture at Big Ant didn't pay close enough attention to the feet. Badly aligned feet = blocking momentum = shoulder in wrong position = wrist in wrong position = ball canted in wrong position on release. Probably get some back spin on the ball. Unless you have a very loose jointed wrist it would be incredibly hard to get the seam spinning towards leg slip, probably have it spinning back on itself towards mid on.

Mobile cricket games like rc24 have better bat swing, shots and bowling actions compared to this game. If you compare cricket games in playstation 2 or pc like ea07 brian lara ashes etc and cricket 22,24 not drastic changes. I feel if ea makes a remastered cricket07 with improvements for ps4,5 or pc. It will be better than these present games.

That is my own created team - world xi - you can seach "Rahul Rants" in community. However, the roster might appear empty or with just 2-3 players due to some bug in the server due to bat logo issues. You will get only jerseys and the team. You can add player individually to it later in that case.

Yes, and none of them resemble any real life batters. Steven smith one is the closest, but even that is just there. Not really his style, just the initial movements. The rest are just theories made up by people when in fact they are all normal styles mo capped by Maxwell himself. If I remember correctly for DBC14 they tried to do Bradman's style as the STANDARD one. But yea..that's it
