I have to say Jack Rhodes has got more presence than Santa Claus. While many magicians are just a little too slick and think they are so much smarter than the audience, Jack is like a breath of fresh air. It doesn't really matter if he doesn't win the competition, he's already won over the hearts and minds of millions of viewers and that makes him the real winner. Personally I can't wait to see the first of what undoubtably will be a series of Jack Rhodes TV specials sooner rather than later.

@@maksphoto78 I've been a Cruisemanager on a Norwegian liner for many years and seen some very famous performers. My favourites are the amazing Shawn Farquhar from Canada and now Jack Rhodes.

Fun Fact: Jack Rhodes is the 3rd bgt contestant to place in the semifinals and then runner up, the other 2 are Marc Spelmann and Lilianna Clifton

Fun fact: Jack knew Simon was gonna say the 7 of hearts and he was supposed to pick the 7 of hearts but Simon said keep going which for me makes it even greater beacuse of the improv in the moment

Fantastic showmanship. The magic wasn't anything to mind blowing, some slight of hand stuff that was good but I could figure most of it out. It's the way he put it all together, his comedy, stage presence etc made it so enjoyable and the wife and I were dying laughing through the whole video and enjoyed every minute of it. It's a bit of a shame he had to go against a singer like Sydney Christmas the singers have enough talent shows already and I would like to see something like BGT focus on other talents like Rhodes. Even without winning tho he definitely was good enough that I think he'll go on to have a successful career

@lornamarie4965 as an example, in the first trick, he gives Simon a card he has already written, with the word "Minted" on it, instead of the card Simon wrote the word "cucumber" on. That card, he gave to the other guy, instead of an identical card with the card "Minted" on it that he showed the audience. A very straight forward switch, but as bigrick stated it was the showmanship that really shined

@@alannahhatt3574 used to be magician here: couple of options, but the most known methods are to either fake the '6 months ago' part on the youtube page (pretty easy), or to have Simon pass things that he links to the word 'cucumber' a lot, like green stuff, vegetables, things that look like cucumbers, etc etc. Then in the 2nd trick where he goes into the crate and appears in the tv this is actually super easy to do. At 12:11 you can see the two assistants in the back go behind the crate, this is the moment where Jack takes a hidden door to the outside and swaps with one of his assistants, afterwards the assistants are seen rolling away a piece of equipment into the dark as distraction. the hands seen popping through the box are the assistant's hands who later disappears into the hidden compartment in the floor. then it's just a matter of getting into the tv (the bottom has a diagonal mirror so you can't see him below the tv. If I'm being honest, nothing special was done here, it was pretty basic, however, it does catch the public's attention, which is the goal in BGT

For those wondering how he put his hand through the tv in the second act. If you look on the bottom right of the tv, you’ll see a blinking blue light, he was waiting for it, then he timed it perfectly

It's tough to go up against Sydnie Christmas, but for her not to win would have been unthinkable. She is one in a million (or a billion...). Her vocal talent, originality and humility were and are exceptional.

Last trick is so simple, you can see when he takes the ring out in his hands and put it in the pocket. Then when he gets the hat, he just throws it in there and it fallt through the hole, out in the lamp.

Ring was never put into the cup, holding it in his right hand all the time, walking on stage at t:1190.62 you see the ring in his right hand.

I cant understand how cheap obvious tricks with just bigger devices on a whole stage are so much more needed in the tv than much clever clean tricks with such a higher skill level in form of close up magic. The U.S people line cheap "big" things way more than clever and skilled perfomances in smaller actions. To win this show you just have to have the knowledge to cover up the cheapest for the "biggest"

Lol you're so manipulated it's sad.. You would of NEVER made it into that basement, locked off to the public, guarded by secret service and behind locks APPROVED by NARA.. On the other hand, you'd have an easy time going to bidens garage and getting the same thing from cardboard boxes just thrown all over the place, not under guard by secret service (senators don't get that and VPs only get it for 6 months, he wasn't a president at the time he stole his docs) visited by addicts, or even just pick up the phone and hear those things being talked about to the ghostwriter (who deleted all records when found out about the investigation, obstruction much) It was the FBI who threw all those docs on the floor to stage a picture AND added the 'classified' earmark folders to them.. Everything I just told you is public knowledge, weird the media twists all that though because I thought they held everyone accountable....
