Bro, I tried so fucking much back then on the 5th race that it just got buried in my mind. I could only race with the Zonda Cinque but still after trying even more that on a Souls game I could never reach plat. Tho, if I remember correctly, my record was 2 secs away from plat and even you just got it for less than -0.20 seconds. That race is insane!

Yeah that is a tough ass race to beat for Platinum. Cutting corners, using a car with quick acceleration aka the Porsche 918 which is what I used and having lots of nitrous especially at the end for a great boost is what's needed for Plat but even I got in the milliseconds before going Gold so finding the optimum path to shave off more than 1 second of it is difficult. For Platinum difficulty in race 5, I think it needs to be toned down a bit as race 6 is easier to get compared to 5.

i think someone screwed it up and mixed the times of Hard with Vengeance and Live Free or Drive Hard. I can do gold consistently without issues and for Hard with Vengace i got 2:17 with some minor mistakes and wall bumps, yet i still got way under the plat requirement and to my shock i noticed the AI was able to do platinum time too since one got ahead of me once. In Live Free or Drive Hard i can barely reach it's minimum Silver time, if you think about it, a 2:17.37 time in Live Free or Drive Hard would grant you a Gold medal. My best time (after tryharding) in Live free or Drive hard is 2:30 which would give you a Platinum medal in Hard with Vengeance

How did you unlock the Golf GTI "speedhunters" that car is unlocked when you reach level 21 and are you at level 17 and 18? And what confuses me the most is that you are on xbox 360

If you have the Timesavers Pack DLC then you'd have almost all the cars available at the start. And why is that confusing?

Timesavers pack DLC... interesting I thought you were using a saved game since you can't get it on Xbox 360 that's what had me confused

If you dont want to unlock all the cars in the game since it will take a long time especially with those with high level ranks, the timesavers pack is useful. You'd still need to do multiplayer and online stuff to get the other cars that stay locked. Can't get the game digitally anymore? You can get a disc copy of the game or if you had bought the game before it wasnt available to buy anymore, you can still download and play it.

No problem. It goes for ALL games and DLC unless the companies say otherwise, that you can redownload and play all the stuff you had bought on consoles and PC. Of course disc copies are available unless the game is digital only which some are.

The Live Free or Die Hard event yeah? That is a tough one for sure. That I think aside from another event in Challenge Series, this took me the second most tries to getting Platinum. I still only barely beat Platinum on this one so yeah, cutting the corners is crucial, don't go off-road as much and be sure to not hit anything that moves like the opponent or traffic cars. Just keep at it and save the nitrous when nearing the finish, it'll help having even half a tank for a big boost to the finish.

@@Skyline-XS You'll have to keep at it and try each car. The 918 Spyder is a good one to use with its quick acceleration and decent handling but that's just me.

@@ultifly2870 Well, all I can say is cut the corners as much as you can and preserve the nitrous for when you need it and having half a full tank when you're less than a mile to the finish will help you speed to it passing anybody who's still ahead. You'll get it, the more you retry the event, the more you learn of the route and the fastest way to get through it.
