E. Emiliano Villa Bandai and playmates are two different companies that are not connected to each other. Bandai is a Japanese company that has licenses to many figures and has had the Godzilla license for a long time. Playmates is a Hong Kong company that also makes many figures but is released in America and make only recently got the the Godzilla licenses

I plan on getting Destroyah and customizing it so it's more detailed. I'd say if your any good at custom figure repaints than you could make something quite neat with some of these.

Guys, what a great review! I've been finding a bunch of videos of these figures piecemeal, but nobody has gone out got ALL of them for us! Thank you, and I just wanted to say that I've been a grateful and proud subscriber for both of you for over a year now. And as far as the toys go, I agree with your comments. I actually like Gigan, and I'll pick him up and possibly repaint his wings. His sculpt is decent. Too bad about Destroyah, I'm probably going to pick him up, I just wish his sculpt and face wasn't so rough. I also dig both Kongs and the FW Goji too. One last thing though, what were the prices on the 6" figures? And do you think if the theory about Playmates rushing these guys out for the Spring and Summer is true, that their releases will start to look better in the Fall, sculpt and paint wise? I'd love a touched up SpaceGodzilla, but as it stands now, I can't. He just looks horrendous. Thanks again, guys.

Thanks for the reviews guys. I like the 2 Kongs & the Gigan, and the Destroyah figure could use a little paint custom work to look great. But many of these Playmates figures don't look so good. Hopefully they get helpful critical feedback from fans and do better with the sculpts next time.

I picked up the final wars one after a lifetime of waiting for one that has a REASONABLE price and I think this final wars face even looks better and the spines even the tail in general it looks better

Destoroyah looks like a PS1 model, Shin Godzilla is what nightmares are made of, SpaceGodzilla is just laughable. Gigan is decent. This is the first time we are getting a Kong figure in a Bandai scale. I really wish the movie came out in March.

Those kongs are amazing. The others could definitely use some work though. Destoroyah isn't all that bad but he looks weird indeed. I know that i said he looks amazing but i don't really know if i could really say that now. I changed my mind on how he looks. I actually have the 6 inch kong and the gigan. I might get that 11 inch kong too. But if they made the top of the 11 inch kong head a little smaller and the mouth a bit wider then he wouldn't been perfect. Great review i loved it!

Great video, guys. There is 3 different godzilla playmates assortments. Gigan, Kong x2, and Destroyer come in one case. Space Godzilla, Shin Godzilla, Godzilla 1954, and Godzilla 1999 come in another. I'm not sure about the break down for the case that mechagodzilla comes in. I haven't seen that assortment here in Texas yet.

I'm just thankful I dont have to hit up Amazon to get a Godzilla figure. However the vinyl figures are way better and much more durable. You can drop those on concrete with no breakage. You drop those hard plastic playmates figures on wood flooring and they will break.

Those are all vinyl. They are the Bandai Creation figures that were sold in the past. Playmates is selling them now.

Just to confirm: The reason playmates has been reusing the Bandai creations/America figures is because they made a deal with Bandai to resell them. They als have said that they will start to use their own original sculpts for Godzilla figures! Also playmates has confirmed that they will be making a Jet Jaguar and Burning Godzilla in 2021 and more that they aren’t ready to reveal, they will also release a 12 inch Godzilla in the fall of 2021

Count yourself lucky you're able to get these at all. Here in the UK we have nothing except the Jakks KOTM stuff. No Playmates. No Bandai. And good luck finding any NECA's apart from online shops.
