Many thanks. I was really worried about replacing the bulb myself. This video is crystal clear, goes at the right pace, you are a natural instructor. Keep up the good job. I made several mistakes, and the things fell apart due to their age, but following individual steps, I managed to fihish the job successfully. The pump is chugging on merrily and fish are happy. Just bought it. What i dislike is the fact that when you lift it out of the pond most of the gunk drains back into the pondcand i empty it weekly.

I almost bought this filter, but on Amazon there were quite a few one star reviews that said it has a defect where water gets into the UV chamber, it shorts out and electrifies the water. Many people have been shocked real bad. I even saw that bad review on some of the canister filters with UV. I decided to go with a bigger all in one, similar to this one. Hopefully it won't shock me LOL.

The large elbow pipe that joins the uv housing and carbon tube and the pump housing (as seen in your video) has a 5ml hole in the bottom of elbow. Is that the same with yours. Please

The Hole is on the connecting elbow between the uv housing tube and the pump. As seen on your video

During the winter time. Do you take it out of the pond and store it or just leave it in the pond running? I live in Northern California in the U.S but during the winter time here in Sacramento. It doesn't get cold enough to the point that will make my pond freeze up. So should I leave it running or store it away?

Hi. I leave mine running all year round I occasionally get ice on the surface of my pond but I don't remove or turn off the circulation pumps.

Hi Kel got mine today I'm using standard plug.. wired the third wired to fuse. I'm using 3amp fuse its currently running the pump and water feature but my uvs isn't working would you recommend maybe using 13 amp or 15amp? Ty

The elbow between uv casing and pump has big hole in it! Is this correct?

hmm not sure where you mean so i'm guessing no. there is a tube into the uv so you can see the light through but other than that can't see a hole

So after a few weeks of use this thing had absolutely no effect on my green water, literally zilch. Just went outside in the dark and pulled the unit up to the surface to check that UV light indicator and there is no light coming from it. Looks like they sent me a faulty unit.

I've got a Norlog 175g raised pond and I've got the cup 305 filter and it keeps my pond clear so I think this one would do for your pond.

Hi mate. I tend to use a local shop for bits like UV bulbs but i'm pretty sure that www.allpondsolutions.co.uk/pond/equipment/uv-bulbs/11w-pls-lamp/ on APS site will fit looks like a standard fitting

I was using it mostly as a UV and a circulation pump as I already have a big box filter but it is still running strong If you where using it as the main filter you would have to have a small lightly stocked pond it would be better with different media as it comes with some K1 micro which isn't great in a static filter and some gravely type stuff but the pump and the uv are good. I have also used the blagdon all in one filters and it is as good as those
