Caught this on stream, it was funny to hear the same reaction from everyone who was streaming at that moment it was about 35-40 minutes from start of the server all just using stone tools, luckiest found iron, but very little, at this time Kaela: diamonds btw she crafted her first diamond armor like in next 20-30 minutes after that too

My guess on how she did it is that she probably found a village with a chest that contained a diamond, which can be found in... ironically enough... the village's blacksmith's building.

I don't know how she did it but nowadays it shouldn't be too hard to find diamonds, you just have to find a cave or a deep ravine and you're good, just that most players won't do it as they may want to get more resources first (that is, food, armor, tools, etc)

@@javierflores09 I doubt she got the diamonds from mining, because the server literally just started a few minutes before it. In order to mine diamonds, you would need iron pickaxes, and to make them, you would need to smelt raw iron from mining iron ores, which needs stone pickaxes, which needs wooden pickaxes. That's simply too much things to do in several minutes. Running in a straight line until you find a village is much faster and feasible. EDIT: Okay, just checked the VOD, and turns out she actually got diamonds roughly 30 minutes after the server started (everyone else was just very slow), so getting them from mining is possible.

Depends on the seed, I found a big hole straight to the bottom of the map with visible diamonds from ground level just beside starting point last time I played. Exploration is very much rewarded and now with huge caves it's even faster. You can get iron quite easy too now with the caves (no need to mine with shafts for your first iron pickaxe).

As someone who's never played, what's the average time it takes to get diamonds?

I couldn't find a reliable consensus on that, but for a bit of context: finding diamonds can be done very fast, but extracting them requires iron tools or better, and to my knowledge you don't get the achievement unless you pick up the diamonds, so it's possible she got them from a chest, but 37 minutes is not considered fast by any means, there are those who at least claims to have done so in 3 minutes, so she had plenty of time to make an iron pickaxe. There's also another factor to consider, namely that the rate of mineral spawns (diamonds are considered a mineral in game) can be adjusted when the server is created, I don't have any reason to believe they've adjusted the spawn rates, though they definitely ought to have.

As much as i love Kaela and as funny as these clips are, this kind of gamer is exactly the ones i try and avoid when playing a game like minecraft. Theres something about players rushing early and mid game content to go straight to end-game that just makes me feel like im wasting my time and not playing the game properly so it just makes me quit because i know ill never be able to catch up to them before they stop playing because theyve burned through all the end game content in a day. Ever since i stopped acting that way myself ive been enjoying multiplayer survival games alot more. To give an example, its much more fun to repel a horde of zombies or pillagers with normal iron gear and knowing that if you fuck up you can die and fail with your friends than having all your friends naked with stone weapons and you in a full diamond enchanted suit watching them not have any fun, dying on repeat while you have no challenge whatsoever. Same goes for mmos and the likes, over leveling or over gearing yourself while playing with others can make them not have any fun and i think its something very important to keep in mind. Im not saying thats how everyone needs to act, to each their own when it comes to having fun with video-games but when you decide to play with others its something you should at least consider. Especially in games like minecraft where some people wanna take their time and do creative stuff rather than rushing to end the game ❤ TL;DR , seeing someone rush end game content when you have little experience can feel discouraging especially in games that have creative sides to them.

This kinda...you know I hope you don't apply this in real life . Being discouraged by other people's achievements is not healthy. Hopefully ,these people (Hololive and Holostars) are mature enough not to think that . Please for anyone who is reading this ,play a game at your own pace, don't get discouraged by other people's achievements. Be happy for them or if you still feel negatively about it, make them your inspiration to do better. Just don't tell other people to tone it down for your own or other people's benefits.

it's fun if there's only like one or two people who grind like crazy because it's make fun little story like Kaela but if majority of the player really hardcore meanwhile the other isn't, that'll probably discouraged the newcomers.
