From the one you get from fishing, can you only get it with a fully upgraded rod, only from the ocean, or what?

You can get fishing rod from Zack, but you need 1 empty slot in your tools bag.. max upgrade rod is mythic rod, and you can upgrade it by yourself

You can save file before entering the town square. Just try your luck. Usually, the first round of bets and winner will be the same if you keep reloading.

I assume you already got power berries from your field, from harvest goddess, and from prize exchange at horse derby.. for the power berry you get from fishing, you can see the fishing log on the bookshelf of your house. if there is a power berry logo it means you already have it.. for those in Lake Mine Floor 19, you should have got it too because it was obtained from the first dig. and on the 100th floor spring mine maybe you missed it because you fell in the pitfall and passed the 100th floor, but if you already have an elevator you can go down to floor 100. For the other 2 power berries, you'll need to win the horse race and fetch festival. You can see in the pet log in the menu, if your horse and pet have a crown, it means they won the festival. and lastly, you buy it from Jeff after you have a rug and a bigbed .. you can check whether you have bought it or not by trying to buy something from Jeff, and scroll down and there will be items that you've bought from him, if there is power berry it means you already bought it.. sorry for my english, I hope you understand what I'm trying to say..

This help me a lot. I was loosing my mind trying to figure out which power berry I still need. I thought that was the one on my farm but checking the fishing log I notice that the power berry logo isn't there, so that's the one I missed.

Pick the lowest odd bet, and try to save the game before entering rose plaza.. so when you lose you can load the game and try again
