Fun fact: The original final episode was nothing compared to the final results. It was a lot more darker than you think. Apparently, dillon, the black ranger was supposed to be a sleeper agent that was working for Venjix, and he would have turned hostile during the final battle against Venjix, and the other ranger operators would have no choice but to destroy him. The original episode name was called ranger black

Ninja storm was having the first female blue ranger, the first yellow male was in Alien Rangers. I also read RPM was meant to be the final chapter of Power Rangers so they went all out but turns out it wasn't. Man I'm glad I grew up in the 90s because this was my Saturday mornings alongside Batman the Animated series, Animaniacs and more.

Hyperforce was a tabletop roleplaying series streamed on Twitch. The Rangers team was basically a successor to Time Force, and the series was a love letter to the Power Rangers franchise. And one of the players was Bulk’s actor, Paul Schrier, playing a different character named Jack Thomas, aka Hyperforce Yellow.

I agree with them milking the song from Samurai to Super Megaforce. It was cool having the song back after Saban took Power Rangers back from Disney but one time would have been enough, not four. And no Saban did not call them pirates even though the counterpart from Japan, Gokaiger, were pirates. I could go off topic but Japan gave Saban a silver player with one of the greatest anniversary series from Super Sentai, Saban just fucked it up. After Super Megaforce, Dino Charge/Dino Super Charge were my favorite Neo-Saban seasons because of the song and how original they went from Japan. With Dino Super Charge there are 10 rangers! Sorry for the long comment, I am just writing as I am watching the video but fun fact, Saban told the people that wrote the song it has to have go go Power Rangers in it. Another fun fact, the Toei Company who produces Super Sentai where we got Power Rangers from, after an anniversary season they change up the suits a bit and Power Rangers Beast Morphers came from Go-Busters which was the season after Gokaiger (Super Megaforce) so that is why you have the zip and the leather pants. Also it was a special Ops force. You need to find all of the openings. After Power Rangers Beast Morphers you are missing the two seasons of Dino Fury, the Once & Always special and then the 30th anniversary, Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. Great video anyway!

24:00 Trivia: The split between "Season" and "Super Season" that occurred with every season from Power Rangers Samurai through Power Rangers Ninja Steel wasn't due to the showrunners intent but rather because those seasons aired on Nickelodeon who mandated that shows on their network be limited to a certain amount of episodes or else be forced into a second season. 25:43 Samurai re-used the theme with only minor tweaks as a way for Saban, the company responsible for creating this franchise, to say "We're back!" after having regained the Power Rangers IP from Disney whom they had sold it to during the last season they had produced, Wild Force. The following season, Megaforce, again re-used the theme with only minor tweaks because it was Power Ranger's 20th season overlapping with its 20th anniversary. The common consensus online seems to agree with you regardless though, about it being overused. To explain the order of ownership since I mentioned it: Saban (Might Morphin' through Wild Force)-->Disney (Ninja Storm through RPM)--> Saban (Samurai through Super Ninja Steel)--> Hasbro (Beast Morphers through the present day) 30:27 30:33 You weren't imagining it. There's a line in the song that does say "Ninja Spin!" instead of the usual "Ninja Steel" which I thought could be heard most clearly here 30:16 and is in reference to how they activate their Morphers as seen here 30:08. 33:53 That's not a season but rather a podcast where the real people featured in that intro played a roleplaying tabletop game that's premise was tangentially related to the Time Force season the intro of which is at 10:19. The events of their playthrough might be canon, though if so likely only to the extended canon such as the comics rather than the show. As for my favorite, they're all great in their own ways. I'm fond of Wild Force, Jungle Fury was solid, the whole Zordon era is classic, Time Force is a common pick and it's hard to disagree. If I absolutely had to pick I'd go with Dino Thunder though. It was an anniversary season that acknowledged that whenever appropriate but didn't let that shackle its own story. When Dino Thunder was announced and began airing I was still just barely young enough to get away with watching Power Rangers as far as my friends at school were concerned, the rest of my peers perhaps wouldn't have agreed, and I'd grown up watching not just every season that was airing but also as many re-runs of the seasons that pre-date my time as I possibly could and so had basically seen everything up to that point. I was hyped and overall it didn't disappoint.

29:22 You haven't even seen all of them, that season had the biggest roster of them all (they had 10 rangers at the end of the serie and 11 in a later crossover with another ranger team).🤣They litteraly added a new ranger off-screen.🤣Also you missed a few of them (after the socalled "hypeforce" there's two others (dino fury and cosmic fury). I like dino fury because not only is the opening great but that season broke some of the "codes" , the dino fury green rangers is gay and is the first female rangers that refused to have a skirt in her costume (after her first transformation she literaly ripped it off before going to fight).They also anwsered the most important question "the posing" as there's an episode where the red rangers is showing them the choreography while telling them that messing it up can prevent them from transforming.(So it's true, every power has a cost.🤣🤣).

Love power rangers and mystic is my fave cause i love magic also some interesting facts,1 operation overdrive is the only season opening that's rap based or is rap themed unless you count mystic force, 2 lightspeed and spd are the only seasons that the rangers are working for the government or like for the civiilians cause lightspeed rangers are a group thats essentially a super rescue unit team and spd are space cops lol, 3 lost galaxy and rpm are probably the darkest power rangers seasons personally I think lost galaxy cause rpm is set in a future where literally there in the robot/ai apocalypse and have one safe haven but lost galaxy (if you don't want spoilers stop) is the most impactful cause that's where lost a ranger a ranger died and is still I believe the only season that has a ranger died.

The successive use of the original power ranger theme In Samurai and Megaforce was because Megaforce was the build up to Super Megaforce, which would be the 20th anniversary. Though why they did it for Samurai, considering it was the 17th anniversary not 20th, I’m not entirely sure. But it absolutely “slapped”.

I was 4th grade or so when it came to the US with Rita. In 5th grade, I'd frequently leave honor band early so I could get home in time to watch. I remember Zeo and Turbo. And then a few bits of a few every once in a while. RIP Jason David Frank, Tommy..... original Green/White Ranger. I wanted to have his hair. Devastating he took his own life, though I can imagine he found himself trapped in the series...... He was a good man.

23:56 The reason the themes repeat is Nickelodeon has (or had they might have changed it) a rule that all shows can only have 20 episodes per season. Most Power Rangers Seasons had 40 episodes so they got 2 20 episode seasons.

Yeah! Mystic force for the win. Thats my favorite Power Rangers and the song feels so nostalgic, it's awesome. When i started watching cartoons everything before Ninja Storm didnt go for reruns so the songs before that feel a little bland compared what came after Ninja Storm and all but its nice to see how it all started and progressed. I remembered Jungle Fury as Wild Fury too 😂 Would like you to check all the openings to Pokemon, i think most of the songs are great even now.

Favorite of all time: In Space. It gave us EVERYTHING AND THEN SOME! Ultimate plot twist- Astronema being Andros’ sister, kidnapped and brainwashed evil, gets rescued, wants to change for good,….then gets captured and brainwashed AGAIN, forces the rangers to PUBLICLY REVEAL THEMSELVES, then Andros has to destroy Zordon to save the universe!?!?!?! My 7 year old heart could not handle the drama lmao and then the arc that is a MASTER CLASS in how you do Arcs,…The Psycho Rangers. Enough said. If they would’ve ended the series with this entry like they were intending to, I would have been ok with it. Favorite Concept or Premise: RPM- An alternate universe where humanity is wiped out by a corrupt computer virus created by a sheltered child genius? Pull at my heartstrings why don’t you!?!?! Favorite Auxiliary or secondary rangers added to the team: Mighty Morphin’- The Greatest Ranger of all time, Tommy Oliver. (RIP JDF). From Evil Green Ranger who almost unalived the original Ranger team BY HIMSELF, then joins the team, LOSES his powers and gets CUSTOM MADE powers and a new color, becomes the leader for not 1, 2, but 3 teams!?!?! Then comes back almost a decade later to mentor the next generation of rangers then joins them ON the team!?!?!? Favorite Team Up: Lost Galaxy- The Galaxy Rangers and Space Rangers coming together to take on the Psycho Rangers was mind blowing. Then the fact that Kendrix sacrificed herself to save Cassie and their powers making them the first on-screen Ranger dying? Water works man. Favorite Villain: Ransic/Astronema- Ransic faced discrimination on every level and got tired of it. Did he go about change in the right way? Eh, probably not lol. Astronema was just ugh a queen❤. Saddest moment: Time Force/SPD- Jen getting engaged to Alex, Ransic KILLING HIM, then finding out HES ALIVE, then falling in love with Wes, has to go back to the future and just gives him a hug!?!?!?!?!?! How do you find the love of your life, knowing you’ll never see them again and only leave with a hug!?!?!?! Sky losing his dad as a Ranger, then trying and failing to become that Ranger color, finding the person responsible for his dad’s death, getting to wear that color to take that villain in???? Poetic. I was 15 in 1993 when the old school first season MMPR premiered on television, the first one I watched and not knowing what Rangers were then but loved it since. I watched every season after up till Super Ninja Steel and after that I stopped watching the shows as i age but I will always have a place that makes the original special despite many that are no longer with us. I have seen the original MMPR movie 1995, Turbo Movie 1997, the reboot movie in 2017, Netflix Once and Always movie 2023, and would love to see the adult series when it is released and Hasbro movie with a fresh idea. The original MMPR and Mystic Force are the two best themes out of all of them.

The excitement I would get from watching Megaforce and Super Megaforce when they first aired. They would show on one of the Nickelodeon channels. My mum would let me stay up to watch the episode, and it was awesome. The theme still brings back so much nostalgia and joy. I was exposed to most of the seasons of all of power rangers. I even use to watch “all power ranger theme songs” on KZbin when it was break time at primary school. 😂 I was that much of a Power Ranger fan. When Ninja Steel came out, I stopped watching PR, because I was in that teen phase of “you can’t watch this, it’s for children”. I’m 18 now and I even sing to the theme tunes. 😂 What’s the point in living if you can’t enjoy Power Rangers?

24:40 Skull is correct, Spike is Skull's son. Skull was in Mighty Morphin/Zeo/Turbo/In Space. But in Samurai is was Spike.

This could be a long comment, I dunno but if there's anything that requires a response then I'll respond to it. 🐒 I can't say that I started watching Power Rangers since the beginning since I know it was already airing at that point but couldn't tell you if that was '93 or '94. The last thing Bulk was in was Samurai and Super Samurai, Skull only showed up in the Super Samurai finale. There were various variations of the Mighty Morphin theme plus credits. The Space and Galaxy teamup or crossover had them fighting evil Rangers called Psycho Rangers who were actually introduced during Power Rangers in Space. Lightspeed was a decent season, the Aquabase was pretty cool considering it was an underwater base that was like a government funded organization in case the demons ever escaped and Vypra 10:01 was 1 of the demons, the shot before was the exterior shot of their Skull Cavern before it cuts to her in new footage in original footage of their lair. Now to answer your question, this isn't a specific order but my favorite seasons were Space, Galaxy, Time Force, Wild Force, Dino Thunder, RPM and Beast Morphers. Don't let Time Force confuse you, they barely did any time traveling. Ninja Storm was the first full season male Yellow Ranger but the Yellow Alien Ranger was a male even though we only had him around for 10 episodes. It is however notable that this was the first female Blue Ranger. Mystic Force wasn't 1 of the best but it is still one of my favorites mostly for the allies and certain villains plus it was pretty heavy on magic. The core 5 actually became their zords. You must've been tired if you were thinking you called something as Jungle Fury earlier lol 24:25 the Dino Thunder Super Dino Modes, the only one that had black spikes was the White Ranger. Megaforce was the anniversary unfortunately it didn't hit that well, that was a big scene involving current and previous Rangers but we didn't see that until the following season and most veteran fans of the show were unpleased with it. Super Megaforce was pirates in design only, just like Megaforce was based on angels in Sentai's Goseiger, neither themes were brought up here. 28:53 that black armored guy is called Snide, he comes from a Sentai movie that doesn't get adapted until Beast Morphers but because of which, all of his footage in Dino Charge and Dino Supercharge is all new footage. Dino Charge introduces 10 Energems so that's how many Rangers there were, Dino Supercharge later introduces the Dark Energem which doesn't get its own Ranger until much later on. Beast Morphers was adapted from Go-busters, a Sentai season that Saban ended up skipping following Super Megaforce, that's why the suits are so different. HyperForce was a RPG series officially seen as canon that aired 2017-2018 on Hyper RPG's Twitch channel, all episodes should be available on their KZbin channel as well but the KZbin versions might be cut down a bit. There was nothing for Dino Fury or Cosmic Fury, there was something else that I was going to add but I forgot it so maybe it will come back.

I'd been watching since the original MMP and only skipped a couple of the Saban era ones. RPM is my favorite series hands down, even though it's opening theme could have been better. It was the last of the Disney era ones, the story was a bit darker, but the characters were humorous and relatable. There were some very self-aware/tongue-in-cheek jokes, great action and camera work, rockin' OST, plus it's a testament to the development team because the original Sentai it's based off of was more of a silly joke series.

Many seasons have great openings/intro songs though some like Turbo weren't that great of a season. My favorite is MMPR cause my all time favorite ranger is the White Ranger but I also love Zeo because Tommy was the red ranger and red is my favorite color. Also the intro song is awesome and the morpher and how it's used is sweet as hell.

Hearing a lot of these themes just bring so much nostalgia for me. I stopped watching after super ninja steel, and basically grew up watching from mystic force onwards. I also remember one TV channel here in the UK that would just play power rangers 24/7 so also got to watch Dino Fury, Ninja Storm, time force, RPM, etc.

Bro thank for giving love to Mystic Force! So many people hate that one for God knows what reason. I think because it’s not “rock ‘n’ roll” like the others which is really dumb, cause rock ‘n’ roll doesn’t fit the theme of the season. It is one of my absolute favorites! That one and samurai, lost Galaxy, RPM, and Dino charge.

Anyone who says that the Operation Overdrive theme is bad just has a garnage opinion. It's got an objectively great beat and also tells the story of the rangers through the theme. Calling it anything less then great shows lack of respect for music. And nobody to this day ever gives a a good reason as to why it's bad. (Example: Some of said because it's rap and not rock like the rest, but that's bullcrap, because Mystic Force was rap, and there are other PR themes that don't even fall under rock) I have come to the realization that people just hate on it 'just because', and not any actual reason. Just trash opinions 🤷🏼‍♂️

Dino Thunder and Ninja Storm are my favorites, but I still admired Time Force and Wild Force (I still have their VHS Tapes). I dropped the series around the Samurai and Mega Force Eras, I just wasn't a fan, especially the songs where they just...say their names or just copy the original song word for word with no change, it was really disappointing. Recently, though, I wanted to give it another chance, but starting with Dino Charge which actually seemed interesting to me.

Funny enough, my first power rangers shows was SPD and Mystic Force, and those are one of the LEAST known rangers. I love watching people reacting to Power Rangers openings because I love watching people just look absolutely floored by it alone. Mystic Force is my favorite power rangers and out of all of the power rangers, aside from super megaforce it's the only ranger show that I've seen that has a satisfying ending that doesn't feel like it comes out of no where with some of the best twists. Anyone who hasn't seen Mystic Force, I highly recommend it holds up even to this day.
