That's because of there Sponsors man, they pay them big big money to even go to these races. It's ridiculous how much they get just to show up.

And they never buy there tires. They are given to them. So when you can run a new set in practice/heats/features that kinda makes a big difference. Regular drivers can't afford that. Most are lucky to just have a set for practice and heats/ and then a different set for the features like I do. And that depends on how the track of for me. If my heat tires feel good, then I don't change. If they feel a little to lose, then I change.
