Yeah but the point is, Magnus would beat Gukesh Also let me remind, Gukesh is #5, so there are 4 higher rated players than him. Ding is #22. Big respect to Ding, but he is not even top 20 right now, unfortunately. Gukesh is struggling so hard to win. Both are incredible players, of course. it feels like everyone is just too hard on ding, he went head to head with a guy that blazed through the last olympiad as the MVP. even in game 11 he was ahead at points justifying his time usage, its even more disappointing to see personalities like levy, magnus demean the guy, Magnus won half of his defenses dragging a classical championship into rapid. that pretty crappy by itself.
