I honestly hate how they all turned on Mat. If I killed someone on accident, and regretted it deeply, I wouldn't have the motivation to fo anything. Yejin Yoo they turned on matt for a number of reasons. yes, he felt extremely bad for killing sierra but he also helped to bury justine alive and didn’t seem bothered by that even though everyone else had to deal with the deaths of their friends too, yet he completely tried to check out of helping at all. he also tried to back out of his volunteer which made them mad. plus, even if he read the note correctly would he have killed himself anyway? would he have saved sierra? it didn’t seem like matt and sierra had a bond in the show and it was clear that matt just wanted to look after his own back which is fair enough but would he have even killed himself to save sierra anyway? probably not
