This is probably the best video you've ever put out. I like the idea of having an expert to explain about lightsabers and what and how they came about making them. Need more like this video. Even call it the history of lightsabers. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Five out of five thumbs up.

I love the stories behind the movies. Just love it. Today’s movies just don’t seem to have this kind of magic.

Such an amazing and educational video, thanks for making it happen. So cool to hear the history and build on such an iconic prop. I ended up picking up an "Old Hope v2" from Vader's Sabers. 😅

Amazing how the very first Star Wars (or Blue Harvest) was actually such a low budget film, but it just goes to show that a good story & a good director is what matters most.

Blue Harvest was actually the working title for ROTJ
@NecroscatАй бұрын
@@jeremydrew1227 Blue Harvest was the working title for all movies in the Star Wars series. Each movies had their own added sub-name though. "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" working name was actually "Blue Harvest: Horror Beyond Imagination"

I wonder why they look familiar to me. I remember sinks with those. There was plastic one's similar but not exact design. Clear ones might make a crystal look to it. Adding, I am surprised Lucasfilm just doesn't make videos on their lightsabers on what they used & so on to make them.

Interesting how he “forgets” to mention Roman Gomez (RomanProps). The EP4 builder community can be hugely grateful to him, he made all this to be able to happen. He is the OG and everyone just copying him.

John, do you know why the prop masters at Lucasfilms never came out and directly revealed what all the props were made of? It seems like we know everything we now do because of fans pouring over still images. On the one hand it’s cool; listening to AS go through everything was like listening to an archeologist detail an ancient dig site. On the other hand, though, it’s not like Lucasfilms could have answered these questions years ago.
@TheCollectorsOutpostАй бұрын
I think in the late 70s when making these films not one of them ever thought to catalogue and record parts as I don’t think anyone had the slightest clue what these movies would turn in to. I sure these prop guys just grabbed thing, put them together and said ok that works and moved on with their day. Today it’s very different. So much is digital designed and archived. Time and time again you hear stories from older movies how props we’re thrown out, people took things home after filming, some stuff put in a box and just lost in time in storage. It’s an age old story.
