Final Girls was my favourite, it was the first Riley Sager book I read and I was not expecting the twist and it BLEW me away. I think when I read the other books after, I was kind of expecting another crazy twist so I wasn’t AS thrilled by them but in Last Time I Lied, I did not see that twist in the final couple pages at the end coming. Wow ! Lock Every Door I saw the twist coming (mostly because I watched a TV show with a similar concept a few months prior) and Home Before Dark I really enjoyed because every-time I thought I knew exactly what was going on, I was wrong !! The other 2 I haven’t read yet but plan on it !

There was also an easter egg in The House Across The Lake about Camp Nightingale. Which is the camp from The Last Time I Lied! I love when authors call back to previous books in a subtle way.

Lock every door has been my ONLY Riley Sager read and I loved it!! It was so fast paced. Now I'm scared to be disappointed by his other books lol. THAT TWIST was sooo unexpected but the ending felt justified

If you liked that one then you should at least give Last Time I Lied or Home Before Dark a shot!

@@LaynasBookshelf Home Before Dark sounds too spooky for me but I think I will give the Last Time I Lied a go!!

Lock Every Door was my favorite and I immediately spotted the Easter egg about the Bartholomew in The House Across the Lake.

i’ve only read final girls, home before dark, and last time i lied (currently reading house across the lake), and our rankings are really similar! from best to worst my ranking is: home before dark, last time i lied, then final girls. i loved the first two and didn’t really like final girls. fun fact: riley sager is from new jersey which is pretty cool since that’s my home state 😊

I love that he’s from the east coast! I loved the New England vibes in House Across the Lake

Just got The House Across The Lake today from Amazon. I had been waiting on the paperback. Heard so many mixed reviews so I was cautious on even reading it. But The Last Time I Lied is my fav and that had a lot of mixed reviews as well.

I'm about to read his latest! I love all his books. I think my favorite was Lock Every Door because I love that trope of mysterious things going on in an apartment building. Lol

It did give me flashbacks to living in an old apartment building!

I've read Lock Every Door, Home Before Dark and Survive The Night which I rated all 5 stars and I will be starting The House Across The Lake soon so nice to know that it has something from Lock Every Door in it.

Final Girls is my all-time favorite fiction book! ❤️❤️❤️ I think a distance 2nd for me would be Survive The Night, but I really do enjoy this author. I haven’t read Home Before Dark yet, but now I can’t wait to read it!

I love hearing other people's ratings because I feel like they're always so different! Goes to show that Sager really does have a thriller for everyone's tastes :)

OMG, I read both Lock Every Door and The House Across The Lake and I didn't get the reference! I still have 2 more to read from Riley Sager, I loved your order of ranking.

I’ve only read final girls and survive the night so far. LOVED survive the night. Final girls bored me so much that I skipped to the end. He also made Quincy in final girls too weirdly sexual idk. One question- do ALL his books include unreliable narrators??!

Ooooh Home Before Dark sounds so good… I’m might need to read that this fall with the haunted house vibes. Final Girls sounds intriguing too!
