With the striker you don't have combos, but you do have the dodge + attack and dodge + attack back that can help with maintaining the striker and if you hit heavy attack as you catch one you can do a heavy throw Also you might not know this, but cannon has a spacebar + shift move

@@HDHaZmY I've been playing this game since beta and I've tried the weapons multiple times. You didn't cover this so I assume you don't know, but you can do heavy + light + heavy in the spear to access the combo in another way

@@grimer1805 honestly just pick whatever you feel like is fun to you. They play so differently that I think is more a thing of playstyle

I'm a fan of Don't Starve and Klei's artstyle, this definitely looks really fun. Hope to see more videos on it! Don't have the game yet, but I'm sure the game will speak for itself of its quality.

Striker is fun in coop with a buddy who uses cannon. They can shoot your balls and it becomes focus ball slaps lol. So fun

Here's some moves you didn't cover : For Hammer : space + back L + hold H does a spinning attack Combos for spear : Space + L followed by L + L + H can get you way more hitstreak than 4 L + H also H + L + H works for big damage For Cannon : space + shift does a rocket launching attack and here's a tip : you can reload immediatly after a heavy by the way, game won't tell you but big yammo slammo also reloads like the battering ram Tip for striker : space + back L helps for positioning and is good if you want to throw a grounded ball ball will always land from where you launched it (except if you play with space + back L or space + L positioning) you can dash where the ball is and launch it immediatly for focus hit

with hammer spacebar-back-LMB after the hammer makes an arc hold RMB --- hamer around you 3 time atack

they don't say this in the tutorial by found out that with the hammer you can do three light attacks and one heavy attack to do a heavy hitting charge hit

I also found a Spin to Win move with it! Dodge Back - Back +Light Attack - Hold Heavy Attack to spin

This game looks really cool but I'm curious are there any game mechanics that set this apart from other rogue likes? For example managing your cult in cult of the Lamb or running your shop in moon lighter.

I am not sure - some of the weapons are really unique, but I just feel Rotwood has all the good stuff from other Rogue Lites combined - and it is early access only

i really hope they make it so the strikers can only be hit by you. it was funny at first seeing my friends hit them around, but it eventually just got really annoying because i'd lose track of them or they'd get knocked out of range for me to recall them

Yes that is true and it can be annoying when your strikers are messed up by other players :(
