An easy tip for RS-7: A support unit Virtuosa with S3 placed to the right of the middle furnace, facing left, will kill every single frozen beast except the upper right one (which you can kill later with Steward or another caster as Kyo does in the video.) Virtuosa's S3 aura persists even if she gets frozen, so the furnace doesn't even need to be on. Since the level starts with so much DP available, you can drop her immediately and activate S3 as soon as possible without issue. Trivializes the level!

Kyo is really good at interpreting and helping us with the mechanics in a very practical manner. The in-game description is poorly translated and makes you guess what will happen if you do this or that. For example, Kyo literally interprets "extinguishes Emergency Heaters in a large area" and shows us the area in his video - so valuable to players!

Thanks so much for this. I had a similar idea on clearing RS-8 using Mlynar and a redeploy to soak the snowballs, but I wasn't getting him in the right spot and in particular wasn't doing enough to stall Harold so his phase change didn't put out every furnace at once. I'm glad to know I was on the right track but this saved me a ton of what probably would have been a lot of frustrating trial-and-error to get things lined up perfectly to clear with my playing-less-than-a-month low-end team. I don't really have any developed defenders aside from Beagle and Spot (haven't even pulled a Gummy or Cuora yet) so my stall was Ethan and then dropping gravel and projekt red to block a few seconds when the bind failed. Not pretty but it worked!

If you don't feel like using mlynar for RS-8 you can borrow goldenglow instead by adapting his high end strat, might work better for you which is what I did before this video came out. You can definitely clear RS-8 with low end + goldenglow as well.

Hot tip for the last stage: use a robot to keep the right-most heater on and you can free up a deployment slot. Also Hexer supports and Deadeye snipers placed to the left of the right-most heater have the attack range to turn on both the top and bottom heaters by themselves. Also a lord guard in mlynar’s time can turn on the left-most heater, potentially freeing up the sniper deployment slot. As kyo said, this stage is all about making sure all the heaters are on during the meteors, because without nightingale, 2 meteors will wipe out pretty much every ranged op. The invulnerability during the meteors is very sneaky by the devs, I initially wanted to cheese it with Mousse or Shamare but the invul means his attack can’t be reduced during the meteors.

A ranged unit must turn it on within the range of the lit furnace on the right. Just deploy whatever sniper, supporter or specialist facing left that can reach the left furnace while inside the effect area of the one on the right.

Finished rs 8 with e1 40s and 1 e2 20 archer borrowing max e2 mylnar. Took 2 fast deployables, ethan to stall harold and 3 healers. I used kazemaru instead of vanguard after myrtle. Took 6 tries. 2 wins on practice. 1 i thought was for real. 2 seconds before harold broke through mylnar s range line.

It is a great boss stage because it works well with harold s role and mind psychology. He gets stronger in british victorian winter but mellows out and stops wanting to fight near heat retirement.

Could be skill mastery. Skill level 7 starts with 10 sp on deployment and needs 25. Mastery 3 starts with 13 and needs 22.

That's what friends are for... unless you want to farm this stage. Mlynar is quite common. I'm a free player and I got him in 3 accounts early on and maxed him out the minute I got him. In my last account, I just pulled him brand new from the recent headhunt banner. On a separate note, I noticed that my newest account has the best "luck" pulling. My oldest account has got the most crappy ops whereas my newest account got Degenbrecher with the first 10 pull attempt and I also got Thorns, Silverash, Mlynar, Surtr, Mountain, Nearl the Radiant Knight, Blaze, Skadi, La Pluma, Eyjaberry, Nightingale etc... all from first 10 pull attempts.

I used Thorns, but Silverash would probably work as well if you add GG S2 in front of the right-most furnace, and/or replace Myrtle with Horn S1 / S3 after you get enough DP. So the boss gets slashed by Silverash, zapped by GG and bombed by Horn.

I feel so stupid / I am upset at the game design. I can't tell which it is that is holding me back. I am a nicheknight player but my niche feels increasingly impossible to beat levels with. I use Suzuran, Ifrit, Fartooth, Flametail, Wild mane, Snowsant, Ashlock, Kafka and Silence. I can never find a way to dps the bosses down. I always end up having to find a guide on how to beat the level with low level/rarity squads. I can't tell if I just suck or if the game is overtuned for people using Mylnar, Yato alter, Texas alter, etc. I probably suck, but it is still frustrating.

​@@feinein Maybe try using different operator with different positioning? I did mine with FedEx, helidrop, Gladiia, Firewhistle (on Myrtle's tile, facing left), Bison, Lumen, and Silence Alter. There's also one shot shenanigans, low rarity squad with Thorns, Chalter (JP vid though), Eckogen doesn't even use 6 stars in his low rarity guide (though it's maybe a bit unstable auto wise)

@@feinein If you get spammed by meteors, then you probably burned his HP way too fast but can't recover the heaters fast enough. You should pace his second phase so that you can take back the heaters while having the flint (I say gasoline) ready to be used immediately to lessen the burden from the meteor showering. Abjurer is pretty nice option to have for mitigating some damage while giving some healing. Also consider having someone who can activate the front tower from distance pretty fast like a marksman sniper, lord guard, or Gladiia (because she's quite tanky also less likely to get distracted by other enemies). Either that or put someone on the tile next to the heater. Alternatively, you can also use Yalter S2 to activate the heater since it ignores CC effects until the skill ends.

If your Beagle and Cardigan are dying fast, maybe look at the strength of your medics or the levels of your Beagle and Cardigan. Only Mlynar and Myrtle need to be E2 in this guide. Pick the max level Mlynar for support. Sounds like Myrtle is not your only problem, but for future play, you can farm materials and have time to Specialise Myrtle's S1 Mastery 3. You won't regret it. Since I upgraded my Myrtle to E2 Lvl70 S1M3 Mod X Full Potential, I haven't had problems with DP. If you have Bagpipe or Texas, they help with DP and do a good job killing initial enemies.

This stage is such a piece of crap. Half the time the furnaces randomly wont even turn on, even thought something is shooting at them. 0/10.

The sniper shooting at the furnace has to be standing beside an already lit furnace, else the sniper freezes and the furnace slowly resets. Then by the time your sniper un-freezes, the sniper has to start from scratch before sniper freezes again.... and round and round you go nowhere. Plus you need to put one operator on the glowing tile to prevent furnace from getting snuffed out after you light it up.

This game is a pile of crap. The stages are crap. The mechanics are crap. It"s been 3 month and I don't even have the DPS to complete the story in a single stupid event. Literally the *only* passable thing in this game is the gatcha. Witch is meaningless, since you only use it it beat crap events like this ones. Fine. I give up. I guess I *shoudn't* care about the story. Why bother if the game won't even let me finish it? Lesson f-ing leamed. Events are really *only* for converting sanity into tickets. That's it, no need to beat anything but the very first stage.
