It is strangely comforting to see such a lively cemetery. Here in Canada, cemeteries are not that active.

Yes, right. I never experienced anything like this in the US or UK either. Helps that weather was good too

Pozdrawiam. Mariola 😊

This is what makes this occasion so special here in Poland❤️

We also have this tradition here that when we see an abandoned and obscure looking grave on the cemetery, we try to clean it up a bit and put at least one znicz (candle) there. So the person laying there is still remembered. Usually the kids in primary schools long with the teachers take trips to local cemeteries with that mission right before the 1st of November. I remember doing it a lot as a kid.

Greetings from Kliszow Ged and Nina! Thank you for sharing the beautiful cemetery. I experienced this for the first time last year when we came to be with my in-laws as was 1st anniversary of my father in-law passing. It is so beautiful in the cemeteries and especially at night with all the candles glowing. We are fortunate to be able to celebrate again this year.

Greetings. The video doesn't really do it justice. It seems strange recommending that visitors visit the cemeteries, but it really is quite the experience at this time of year
@brrlracer652 жыл бұрын
@@planetkrakow it is an amazing experience and pictures and videos don't show the true beauty. The flowers and the all the candles are so beautiful. The time and love spent by family to care for their loved ones final resting place is amazing. I saw that a few days ago when we visited my husband's dad's village. Saw a husband and wife were out there cleaning and scrubbing the grave site of a family member or members in prep for the 1st.

Some lives and their stories will never ends ... All Saints Day it's the best day to listen and their graves is the place where they'll live forever. Maybe that's why we don't fear death but dishonour ...

To me this day becomes very commercial! People spend so much money and the flowers is bigger and bigger! The candle holders are like buckets! In old days people was more modest ! Bus small candles small flowers it was much better

Certainly take your point here. It does make for a beautiful display at the cemetery nowadays though, and that was something special to observe
