Thanks for watching. It's even better in person. If you ever visit London - you can do your shopping in Oxford Street and decompress in All Saint's Margaret Street. Or if shopping isn't for you (it's not MY thing at all), spend the day in the British Museum and visit All Saint's for evensong. It is a very conveniently situated church.

At 3:56, why would Aaron be a stretch? He's wearing the breastplate that is described in Scripture.

Thanks for the that - I will look out for it in future.

Brilliant again. If you are into more weird and wonderful London churches,I'd recommend St John the Divine Vassall Rd Kennington (The cathedral of S London,by Street) St John the Evangelist,Upper Norwood (Pearson,with perfect accoustics) and...for a more convincing Gothic/Brutalism crossover St Stephen's Rosslyn Hill (Hampstead) designed by wild-man genius SS Teulon....happy hunting!

I keep meaning to get to the Agapemonite church of the Ark of the Covenant in Clapton....If it's good,I'll let you know. It's certainly...striking....from the outside.

@@hereticatious There must be way more out there...I know I've only scratched the surface. Look up the Agapemonites in Wiki...they were a hoot....

@@hereticatious I'm sure I've only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to strange London churches...

Well - You gotta read the John Summerson Article to be sure - you can get it free here archive.org/details/heavenlymansions00summ/page/n3/mode/2up - start on page 162. Here he kind of characterises All Saint's as the National Theatre of its day and if you look at that frontage - well my first thought was of a workhouse rather than a church (I say this, of course, from a place of love). Its a good read - it makes you think - then makes you think - nah!

You don't know much about organs and organ building.
@hereticatious7 ай бұрын
You are quite wrong - I know nothing about organs and organ building. But I've made a start - and there are two looong videos - mostly focused on the playing - so give me time. :-)
