All Saints - Rock Steady (Live @ Children In Need)

All Saints' LIVE performance of "Rock Steady", first single from third studio album "Studio 1", on Children In Need.
"Rock Steady" was a big success in the UK, peaking at #3 on the UK official single chart and selling 85,000 copies.
In the UK All Saints' 1997 hit "Never Ever" is the biggest selling single by a girlband EVER, with 1.249.000 copies sold. No other single by a girlgroup has still managed to beat that record.

it's performances like these that make me wonder why Nicole and Natalie got thrown into backup vocals their whole career. Nic's solo was great, she was in tune and everything. i'm not saying i don't like Shaz and Mel though, they're all wonderful singers

i guess ,first of all,cause it s Shaznay who writes the majority of their material and they recognize and respect that....they share the vocals, but Shaznay has the most distinctive voice and the groups inspiration ,i guess, they stick to the vision of the group ,instead of goin solo and ,probably ,not have that mich of success,since they yeah do can sing, but their voices are like other millions voices heard ...nothing bad, just the consciusness of what s special and what s not

Cause Shaz and Mel had very unique tones and were consistent but Nicole and Natalie had very regular voices you could hear in any girl group

That took me a while to realise that in the middle 8 the first 2 lines mel is the higher line and the 2nd is Nat! - excellent blending!

@f0rce0fnature Yeah all us fans wonder that...Nic & Nat carry the chorus's of nearly every song and do all the harmonys so they actually sing more than Mel & Shaz but they don't do enough leads and they should! I always thought Mel sang too much when she would sing 2 almost 3 times in each song and her leads should have gone to the sisters more!

Too much had been said n done for this comeback to work & be convincing. Also the 'cool & effortless' factor that set them apart from their contemporaries in the mid 90's was replaced with the silly routine and stylist styling. Shame. The same happened with the reform of Sugababes originals MKS. Talented groups but too much water under the bridge.

+J Brittonジェイ・ブリトン those comments were in relation to the 'Studio 1' comeback which they said themselves of this period. This new venture sees them return to being original. As for the MKS thing, that ain't happening anytime soon. Keisha has said as much recently.

+J Brittonジェイ・ブリトン MKS don't have a Management or Label deal. Mutya has been doing solo PA's so I bet Sugababes aren't set for a return. On Twitter when Keisha was asked she said they have no plans, just before Christmas. I'm a fan so I hold out for this but it doesn't look likely. I saw them on their comeback' tour in 2013, we're now at 2016 so don't hold your breath
