She was a survivor of a massacre on Geonosis, saw Dooku was not as good and noble as everyone intially believed and how droid armies are ruthless during the war. Then she saw the Republic was not that good either and Jedi blindly following it into the war. I can't argue with her (and Ahsoka) anger, but like Ahsoka before Anakin and Obi-Wan left her for the final time and Siege of Mandalore, her disillusionment clouded her better judgement - not helping the Republic or even opposing it, no matter how corrupt it was, only played for Dooku's games, who despite everything he still was a villain with the likes of Grievous that must be stopped with their ruthless invasions, especially towards a capital of the Republic.

maybe barriss is the same race as the seventh sister but it is impossible for it to be her because in star wars rebels we saw the death of the seventh sister and barriss as in episode 2 of tales of the empire turns to the good side and leaves the inquisitors😌☺️
