Honestly yeah, it's a really great track, just bad at fulfilling the Rainbow Road spot, if you were given the concept of "a track themed in earth's athmosphere in a huge space station that serves as a main point and plays multiple roles in the gameplay, connected by intertwining dual roads that have a different feel from the man-made space stations in which you can jump beetwen to perform great shortcuts at the expense of missing items" then it just sounds like an amazing concept, but giving that to the Rainbow Road, taking away the whole ethereal, magical and mysterious feeling of them for the Man-made part of the concept, which just strays away from what a Rainbow Road is supposed to be The gameplay is fun and challenging, but for 8's Rainbow Road, you know, the most polished game with the most mechanics to get new ideas from for the track design, it really could've been more instead of just a good track, since a Rainbow Road is supposed to be the final test, the biggest challenge to test your skill at everything you've learned in the game So it's like, 8's Rainbow Road is dragged down just for being a Rainbow Road

@@juanca12thYou know what, I think you put in my thoughts correctly. I liked Rainbow Road 8 because of the gameplay, but it should not be a Rainbow Road. Perhaps, Rainbow Road 8 should have been a different theme from Mario Galaxy, with a song that is using GBA Rainbow Road as a part of the remix (considering how overly used the N64 Rainbow Road motif was).

@@MasonJWMyers I just think it looks really pretty, has great music, and is fun and challenging to drive. It's definitely on the lower end of Rainbow Roads, but I still love it.

Thanks for the response. I definitely agree by all accounts it’s a good course, but compared to what it has to deal with, it’s definitely the weakest of all Rainbow Roads in my eyes. I’d probably rank it above everything from Super Mario Kart except BC3 and Rainbow Road.
