I love this even though I’m seeing it years after you made it! Timeless project. For those sizes that go off the board, I crafted a support. I cut a piece of cardboard the size of the punch board plus 2” on the long side. I clued 2” strips of cardboard to the right side of my base, layering them until they are the same height of the punch board on that right side. Then I glued a heavy weight cardstock strip on top of the cardboard strips making the entire layered right side strips even with the height of the punch board. Now I can score off the punch board.

Thank you for sharing! 'So grateful for the measurements you provided. I was able to make a box holder for some of my 6x6 papers. I changed the 1/8" measurement to 1" to allow about an inch stack of my 6x6 paper pads. You're a great teacher!

Awesome! I love the way you explained how to use the envelope punch. I was ready to return it because the sizes weren't matching, etc. As you were showing how to, I did one with you and it turned out beautifully. Thank you for an outstanding tutorial...

Hi France If you go into box buster at thecraftyowl.co.uk/boxbuster/ there is a calculator there where you put in the measurement of whatever size box you want to make and it calculates and shows you how and where to score. A very informative video is there too.

Hey your video was very helpful But you indicated for the last sized envelope you needed to increase the paper by 1.25 inches that would mean that the cardstock would of had to be 13.25 inches but can you please indicate at what marks would the punch and score would of that to be? Thank you Sameha

Thank you Frenchie, I love this tutorial...you are brilliant. One question, I have the envelope maker but wonder when you first punch and then move around do you line up the little sticking out part in the center of the score mark, at the front edge or back edge of the line you have scored. I am not sure at what point they want you to line it up at....Thx. pat
@FranceMartinFrenchie11 жыл бұрын
I always line it up in the center of the score :)

Please could you tell me measurements for a box envelope for a 6x6 dimensional card
@FranceMartinFrenchie Жыл бұрын
*Your square of paper need to be 1-1/4″ bigger then the board tell you and the first score 1/8″ bigger then the board tell you then the second score is one inch bigger then your first score. I don't have the board anymore so this the best measurement I can tell you
@anuttyquilter8 жыл бұрын
can you do this with a smaller depth eg half an inch and how would this affect your calculation of the size of the card please. So the second score is 0.5" more than the first score line

Hi Frenchie - what about 5 - 5x7 cards with envelopes. Can you help with measurements for that. I love your videos, thanks for them
@FranceMartinFrenchie9 жыл бұрын
I don't think I can cause the paper the I have is biggest is 12 x 12 and I would need giddier for a box for 5 7 or I would have to join paper together

+Debra Jones I did a box for a 5 x 7 card with no problem just increasing the measurements like she said .. the only challenge is that the paper is off the score line a couple of inches but really not a real issue.
@shesaidtru9 жыл бұрын
+Cara Malmrose I just did the same thing and like you say - the paper is off the score line - but it isn't really an issue. :)Melody.

I have just viewed a dozen card box videos and finally I found this one by you from 2013. However I am trying to make a box for a 4 1/4 inch x 4 1/4 inch square note cards from our paper Pumpkin kit . I was able to make one 4 7/8 ". However perhaps you might have some previous measurements for a more accurate size.. thanks for sharing your creative ideas.

Hi. Thank you for your video. However, I have a quick question: you never stated how to calculate the second score.
@FranceMartinFrenchie8 жыл бұрын
+annslee71 after the first score that will be your guide for the second score
@annslee718 жыл бұрын
+France “Frenchie” Martin : thanks but that doesn't answer my question. I found my answer from your blog. A: after making the first score by increasing it by 1/8", the second score is 1" bigger than the first. This info is in your blog but not on your KZbin. Thanks so much! I truly enjoy watching all your videos!!
