Really makes you understand just how much Taron’s theming enhances its experience. Take away some of the near misses and fly-throughs and it makes the layout seem kinda… eh? Still looks incredibly fun, but kinda lacking in comparison to its German counterpart. The portion after the second launch seems especially weaker. Not sure why they’d raise the turn and make it less snappy, unless they did it for scenic purposes.

Can't quite believe this is a thing, but you know what? Good for them. Tens of thousands who ride it won't even know Taron exists and when you look at it that way, it's gonna blow their minds and make lots of happy memories. As a standalone ride, the theming is still half-decent and I assume it goes just as quick when the train's fully loaded. It just steals the aura somewhat, having just ridden Taron and believing it's a one of a kind experience, but then being reminded that it's a product that can be bought and replicated to an alarming degree of accuracy.

What a strange layout to clone; the original was basically tailor-made for the theming/landscape elements around it. Still, at least the theming on this version isn't too terrible. Imagine how weird it'd look on flat (or near-flat) ground with nothing around it.

I've been on Taron mutliple times and it's pretty smooth and makes alsmost no sounds - although this one here is a brand new installation, there're already a lot of noises from the cars and parts of the track seemed to be rather rough...

Precision german engineering! We take safety and all surrounding it very seriously. As a matter of fact, the lead technician for taron rides it every day in order to give his approval so the ride may open for that day.

Intamin confirmed the increased the max height after the second launch by 4/5 meters. Less strict planning permissions in Chengdu allowed that alteration

The only people complaining about this are spoiled coaster enthusiasts who don't realize that only like 1% of the people who ride this will have ever even heard of Taron, and vice versa. Not really the highest point is a few meters higher right after the launch so you can't compare them directly. It does seem to pickup after the longer downwinding part.. aesthetically I prefer Taron's lower profile However my opinion is very biased as I rode Taron 3x today hahaha Amazing ride especially front row!
