I think the first real step up was the Connemara, and then the hyper realism (which I love) came with Arabians and American Paint Horse ❤️ I know some people prefer the cartoony style, but I personally am so impressed with how realistic they managed to get horses in this game. My personally favourite horse model atm, is the Tenessee Walking Horse. The game went from the standard 2005 games to the most realistic horse simulator out there. They improved insanely much the last 5 years. They really manage to capture the essence of each horse breeds and gaits, and their unique features now.

I really think the first horse for gen 4 should be the updated starter horse, it’s supposed to be the most special horse in game but it honestly doesn’t feel like it anymore 🤷‍♀️

If this game ever becomes playable on chromebook or I manage to get a windows PC again, I know EXACTLY which horse I want for my main one. The Jorvik Wild Horse, with the Mantle Striped Buckskin coat. It's absolutely gorgeous!

Yes, the current offer of body types, hairstyles, and make-up (and proper clothing choice) already enables you to create a very male-looking character (I've already seen a player whose from the first sight looked like a male - had a short haircut, no make-up, and one of the more masculine-looking faces). And SSO is already working on new body types, at least 3 of which are explicitly labelled as "male" in their files and they indeed have a male physique (for example, flat chest, wider shoulders, etc.). So in the future (probably like within a year at most) you'll be able to create a genuinely male character. I'm just not sure if SSO will also make adjustments to the dialogues and story to allow for a genuinely male player character - the game is about sisterhood and I think quite a lot of the story would have to be changed to make it gender-neutral as regards our character. But on the other hand, the fact that SSO will be adding genuinely male body types might suggest that perhaps it's going to be done one day.

I know this comment is old but i'll give my opinion regardless, as an agender person but who is also transmasc and transitionning: I think they could add more masculine/androgynous body types, hairstyles etc, as you said they are working on it, while keeping the story be about a girl. Like in the end, the looks of the avatar is that: just a look, it doesn't have to define the story. We could have the story as intended, and just headcanon our avatars as different genders if we want. That's what I do, I think it could work great if players open their minds to the idea!@@miaow8670
