Regarding Freddy, and any other character that requires you simply look at them for whatever reason (Bonnie, Zuffy, etc), you do NOT need to flash him. Save your flashlight battery for characters like Foxy, Withered Foxy, and the Balloon Children.

Shadow deals (atleast to my knowledge) only spawn twice: at the end of night 9 (start of night 10 after you pick penalties) and night 16 (same thing)

as long as I’m aware shadow deals are available at night 10 and 15

Epok is correct, they spawn at the end of night 9 and 15. But they're always during penalties (even numbers), so if you're on night 8, you have 2 more nights until shadow deals. Night 14, 2 more.

Its when you can trade 1 one your max lives on a upgrade, you know the upgrade "perseverance", "greed" and others that i forgot the name off. You just need to trade all of your max lives to get the achievement aswell with the perk.
