To be honest, I was expecting Bi-Han to get his redemption in this game (something that I really wanted since he needs one), but maybe the creators showing Bi-Han's flaws and cold side is a way to properly build up his redemption and flesh out his character more, showing us his original personality before doing his redemption. Maybe in the next game, we'll see Bi-Han get it. Bi-Han (Original Sub-Zero) is the kind of the guy who may seem cold and callous, but he's by no means evil; his personality is a lot deeper than what he may seem on the outside. He's a pretty complicated and enigmatic dude.

There still might be a chance. It appears that Sareena will be free of Quan Chi’s control from what we see in Ashrah’s ending. In the original timeline Bi Han helps her. Perhaps in this new one she helps him or saves/cleanses him of becoming Noob Saibot. I for one, like how Bi Han portrayed Sub Zero. There could be room for a redemption story for him with this game being the first part of his arc. Or if NRS really wants Noob Saibot around, why not make him be a conjured entity like Ermac? It could be a possibility.

Probably he will kill Harumi to justify his rivalry with Scorpion, and gets fatalitized for that. Its really clear that the guys in charge of MK don´t like Sub Zero. he always loses in the trailers to Scorpion. A couple of years ago they killed him in that legacy crap with his own fatality,.In mkx he was a nanny (his chapter should have been repelling the Kotal invasion). He is the worst written character in this MK1. So I hardly think they will something interesting with him in future games.

From what has been leaked it looks like you might be right. From what was datamined titan Havik kidnaps bi -Han and turns him into noob Saibot and sektor asks liu Kang and his Allies for help. At the end they succeed in turning him back to sub zero and I think this causes subzero and Scorpian to start reconciling
