...wait really?....no its not.. dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Frieza Frieza (フリーザ Furīza) I am about as much of an anime expert as Jeff but I am pretty sure its freeze-a. I get that freezer is the pun they were going for but they call him frieza.

Jon Ammons I don't think the English spelling means anything. If they say freeze, they're probably saying freezer. That's like saying the title should be doragonboru zeddo. They say coora instead of cooler but we still call him cooler. There's no difference.
