Defense was hot in some of these games. Ballhawks. What happened? I remember we had a stretch there of causing fumbles but not recovering them.

@ I hear your frustration, but not seeing that by the numbers or tape. Our defense was responsible for beating top offenses in the Ravens, Washington and the Bengals. They held high scoring teams to lower numbers. Players didn’t always execute but stuff was working. Also our DC doesn’t work in a vacuum - that’s a whole room of coaches doing defensive game plans, coaching, etc. I think TA does call the plays though. Mink is still good imo, he just doesn’t get thrown at bc teams know he is a ballhawk. Maybe he’s not totally what he was, but I can’t put all that secondary’s performance on him. Seemed like our secondary as a whole had issues down the stretch. JPJ penalized a bunch, Mink started missing tackles, DJ injured a lot, Sutton was not quite what we hoped, Bishop didn’t get the splash and maybe hit a rookie wall, edge pressure wasn’t getting home… 🤷‍♂️ I duno. I am excited to see what their analysis is and what they figure out.

We did, we changed a crap load of things the whole QB room, 3 coaches, half the linebacker core, spinkled in CBs and WRs......... nothing worked. What would you suggest?

I think we are too young and cocky. They got people out there like pickens that can't even make 5 yards without flexing and showing out for that penalty flag. It is meant for grown men and we run boys at everything. Even najee who is an older kid with vet experience has became this shitty person that runs into the back of our own line for 1 yard every time he touches the ball.

Beannie was fools gold. Beaten like a drum very often. His only INT he earned was the first one vs Rodgers, the 2nd one he was beaten again by Wilson but Wilson let it clang off his chest and it bounced to Beannie. The one vs NYG the RB was wide open Jones sailed it over his head where Porter let it clang off his terrible hands and it again bounced to Beannie. The last one Patrick Queen makes the play on the ball drops it and you guessed it, it bounces to Beannie. I agree he shouldn't have been benched for the woman beater Bennie's stats are very deceiving. Slot CB remains a big need

@@rinkwire I have been a fan since the mid 70's, and I can tell you that the Organization, ownership, HC, team have lost 'The Steeler Way'. Right now they don't scare anyone, I know that many will say the Tomlin will be hired immediately to a another team if they let him go.....so do it. I have stopped being a true fan for the past 6 years, I truly feel that the talent is there, it's just the heart and desire is missing!!!!

The only takeaway, that I see, was yet another mediocre season. Fifteen years in a row, of non-losing seasons and one and done in the playoffs 8 of those years. Six years of not making it to the playoffs. Oh yeah, he did win a Superbowl with a team that had won it before, and then when he got there with a team that was actually his, he lost to a wildcard team. Seventeen years and people want to blame all those failures on the players, when the only constant, all those years was Mike.

@@JesseGray-ce6fi, LOL... I wouldn't be afraid to bet that I've been a "Steelers" fan, longer than most of you have been alive. I started watching and being a fan in 1962, when we got our first television. I was 8 years old, and Buddy Parker was their coach. There were two more coaches after that, and then Chuck Noll was hired. The first three years weren't pretty, but then the next 8 years brought 4 Super Bowl wins and the other four years they lost in the AFC finals twice and lost in the opening round twice. Mike has THE WORST playoff record as head coach in the past 55 years, but you're all giddy because the team won 2 more games than they were predicted to win. Did you ever stop and wonder why they were only predicted to win 8 games? Because the standard is the standard, and they have convinced a bunch of fans that having a non-losing season is just as good as winning a Super Bowl. I never said I was leaving, that were the three of you that made that suggestion. What I want, is a new coach that isn't happy with "THE STANDARD" of scraping by with a winning season, and actually wants to win the BIG prize. The worst fans are those that are happy with not winning it all, and that seems to be the three of you, and others.
