I don't think will ever get any positive response and think it's a lie but when I was 8th grade my music teacher asked us to do a project on a band you love. I picked SOAD and I was embarrassed that everyone hated my music. I picked 2 songs from the mezmorize/hypnotize dbl album. Not long after that Mrs Pearson asked me to go to her room after school. I thought I failed the project. Next I know I'm in the room with her nephew, Ollie. He was a guitarist in a local metal band called All the Remains and I was like dude fuck yeah. Never knew that the band was as popular and hadn't even heard of them yet. Years later I'm like woah I talked with a fucking stud of a guitarist. RIP but your legacy lives on. And thanks to his Aunt for doing that for me.

I just want to add that i was in 8th grade in 2005, and the local bands around our area were also shadows fall, kill switch, I think acacia strain (Chicopee) and I was just a little too young to go those shows.
