The inevitable Mad Scientist episode. I own nothing.

That kick ramp was the perfect width, with the perfect amount of lip, he hit it at just the right speed and angle. One of a kind flip

He CLEANLY landed in transition to which was the even more cool part

And the fact drivers reattempted this in future events proves that this stunt really changed MJ forever. Reminds me of 2010…
@jacktheIV442 жыл бұрын
There have only been a couple drivers who attempted this post-world finals 18, Kraig Champion came close, and despite not making it the moment was so spectacular it plays on the home page for Monster Jam’s website. However they still couldn’t do it. This was monster jam’s “concord moment” - something so great that it simply can’t be replicated again.

Are we just gonna ignore the dismount and the fact that he stuck the landing better than Tom did when he tried to front flip?
@RDCNATION2 жыл бұрын
@@MADMAN_2415 No I won't. Tom did a complete flip and it bounced into a end-over-end roll. Lee landed it perfectly.

7 years ago now and never done again. I’ve been to MJ many times and plan to keep going but have never witnessed such a thing. I envy anyone in the stadium for this once in a lifetime event.

I was there, I also captured this on video (although my footage is not on the internet so don’t bother scrolling through my channel.) And I remember the first few seconds after he landed it I simply was not able to process how smooth and seamless it was. Any new comers gotta understand: monster trucks don’t just do front flips. This is not something like a backflip or wheelie, it’s not something that a monster truck just does. I’m an experienced fan, I’ve watched the sport since 2008, I’ve been to 7 world finals: XIV, XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, XIX, and XXI with the upcoming world finals XXII also on the horizon for me. And to this day, taking into account all the internet videos, tv broadcasts, and live events I’ve ever seen, this remains the single greatest thing I’ve ever witnessed a monster truck do.

@ericfording3556 true but when someone dose a front flip for the first time it would make everything before and after look that way take Travis Pastrana' first double back flip for instance or Tony Hawk' first 900

Like you said in the intro - the run was mediocre at best. Technically acceptable but nothing exciting. And I think as he saw the clock ticking into the final seconds he knew it and thought 'I need to pull something out of my arse, there's this thing I've been practising I wasn't really ready to show it off but f*** it, we'll do it live'.

Even though this is one of the greatest moments in monster jam history it did *NOT* deserve the win as the rest of the freestyle was completely forgettable and just… boring, avenger had the better freestyle (and IMO the best one of the night) and he deserved the win a lot more than mad scientist
