I was definitely surprised you were recommended Maestro knowing what you like and don’t like in book. Really appreciate that you have both books a chance!

So glad you enjoyed Under the Stars. The first book in the series isn’t my favorite but I enjoyed under the stars and the third one so much! I’ve learned that her books get back as you continue in the series.

Haha I don’t know if people are just hoping there is one drama/angsty book that’s I’ll love, but I keep getting them recommended to me! I’m so glad that I liked the Laura Pavlov and want to read more in the series 💖

@@JessenReadsRomance It’s possible there is one you’d like but not that one lol. Laura’s books are just so cozy. I’ve really enjoyed her books!

I can't thank you enough for including my book on the spinner wheel! While Lost and Found by the Duke by Andie James was not selected this time, hopefully the spinner might bring it to your attention another time! It's in KU if you ever feel like checking it out

Crazy coincidence: I just put down Heavenly Bodies at around page 200. I never DNF, but was thinking it was time. I decided to watch a video on KZbin to give my brain a break, and your video popped up in my recommendations. To see that you were also reading Heavenly Bodies and chose to DNF at around the same time as me was very validating! I agree with everything you said.

That is a crazy coincidence! I’d never heard of it before but was really bummed because I wanted a new fantasy romance to love!

Oooh I’m glad to know about Maestro, I’ve seen it shared often recently but didn’t know what it was about. I feel like I’d have the same feelings as you. 😬 And the Cottonwood series is my fav from Laura Pavlov, book 1 is so good!

I just struggle so much with that type of angsty drama but so many people love it and recommend it to me 🙈

@@JessenReadsRomance I love angsty reads but not that kind of angst 😅

Chad in Maestro sounds like a f*ckboy 😂. That book would be a DNF for me.

He definitely was as a teenager. And then as an adult, he definitely didn’t endear me when it looked like he slept with another woman after coming after Aurelia a few months before. It’s always “I was so drunk and missing you. It was a stupid mistake.” when they sleep with someone else and I hate that excuse 😑🙄

I've never read any of these, and now I'm firm in my decision to not pick up Maestro. Those kind of books drive me bananas. I can respect that the book hits just right for some people and it's their all time favourite - but I just get frustrated and end up shouting at my kindle app (to the concern neighbours - thankfully one is a gamer so he understands).

That’s exactly how I feel when I read those types of books. I’m fine with watching that type of drama in movies or TV but hate reading about it. I don’t like to feel that level of frustration when reading romance.
